Written at the End of the Volume

It took nine months, but I finally completed another volume.

This volume was completed without an outline, making it more difficult than any of the previous five.

Honestly, the fifth-year plot was one of the difficult parts of many HP fanfics.

Based on the pattern of most fanfics I had read, after the Goblet of Fire, the protagonist was usually either already invincible or at least capable of exchanging several moves with Voldemort. With that level of strength, they could practically swagger through Hogwarts unchecked, so it was actually very difficult for me to convey the sense of oppression Umbridge brought.

If I were only writing the main storyline from the protagonist's perspective, I would actually have preferred to skip the Harry Potter 5 plot and move straight into the wizarding war.

But I wanted to write about the development of other characters as well—for instance, how Ron let go of his prejudice against the protagonist and matured; how Hermione learned to let go of her competitiveness and pride, and truly examine what mattered most to her heart; how Draco, becoming Quidditch captain for the first time, abandoned Slytherin's traditionally underhanded tactics and won the championship honorably through skill and strength.

As for supporting characters like McLaggen, Frobisher, and Bell, that was really just my compulsive tendency acting up—I wanted to flesh out the background characters Rowling had left undeveloped in the original work.

Take McLaggen, for example. In the original, he was an extremely arrogant man, but after breaking up with Hermione, he vanished completely. He was not even mentioned in the final battle.
