A day off and a little discussion about what comes next (must read)
As the title suggests, the author is asking for a day off to rest during the National Day holiday. Also, I wish everyone a happy National Day.
Then, there was some discussion about the subsequent plot.
(1) Regarding Tang San, I'm a little unsure whether to let Tang San Tang San be born normally or to have him reborn and descend into this world.
I actually prefer the latter, because Tang San was born normally and didn't pose much of a threat to the protagonist, so there was no sense of crisis and it wouldn't be as satisfying to torture him. The latter has combat power, so it's more satisfying to torture him.
For example, this Tang San travels back from tens of thousands of years in the future. Let's assume he's reincarnating to save Xiao Wu, and then uses a large amount of divine power to explore the universe to find the place where Xiao Wu Douluo V was reborn after her death—that is, the reborn Tang San in Douluo Continent V. But let's add a twist: a wisp of divine power accidentally travels to the timeline of Douluo I and possesses the newly born Tang San. Then he discovers that his Martial Soul is no longer Blue Silver Grass (here, you could find a way to have Tang Hao have a child, but not with Ah Yin). He then discovers that this Douluo I Continent I timeline seems different from what he experienced before. After some plot developments, the original Tang San descends, leading to a series of conflicts with the protagonist.
Furthermore, the Spirit Hall and the Clear Sky Sect don't actually have any real enmity right now, and Tang San's involvement could better create conflict.
But I don't know if the idea of Tang San being reborn is a flaw for you guys, so I'm a bit conflicted.
(2) Regarding the female lead, as you have seen, the early chapters focused on Bibi Dong, so she is undoubtedly the main female lead. However, this does not mean that the book has only one female lead. I think there are more readers who want to read about multiple female leads than those who want to read about a single female lead.
In the early stages, because the protagonist is mostly in his developmental phase and the timeline is quite early, the only person he can actually interact with is Bibi Dong. As for Liu Erlong, she is much younger Bibi Dong and is an illegitimate child, making her difficult to meet in the early game. Of course, whether Liu Erlong can become the protagonist's woman is still uncertain.
Then there's the second female lead, which I'm sure you all know—it's the Silver Dragon King, who's practically given away for free. I've already written that the protagonist has Dragon Clan godhood and has been in contact with Di Tian and the Silver Dragon King, so how could I not take in the Silver Dragon King?
Gu Yuena is known as the most beautiful female protagonist in the Douluo series; it would be a shame not to collect her.
Then there's Ah Yin. It's certain she'll sacrifice herself, since the protagonist is human and she's a soul beast, but she'll definitely be resurrected later, without a doubt.
As for whether or not Ah Yin will be recruited after her resurrection, we'll see how the audience reacts. After all, if Ah Yin is recruited, what about other Ferocious Beast, such as the Ice and Snow Emperors, Bi Ji, Zi JI? If so, a considerable amount of space would need to be devoted to developing their romantic relationships, which could make the story feel a bit weak. There can be some slice-of-life scenes, but too many might be too much for you to handle.
Alternatively, you could write a side story later, where it's mentioned that they ended up together.
Of course, the specifics will depend on the feedback.
(3) The third thing is the popularity poll for the female characters that appeared in Douluo I. It will help me choose the female lead for my new book later.
Which female lead character would you like to choose? Leave a comment after their name!
1. Xiao Wu
2. Ning Rongrong
3. Zhu Zhuqing
4. Bibi Dong
5. Qian Renxue
6. Hu Liena
7. Shui Bing'er
8. Dugu Yan
9. Ye Lingling
Finally, let's summarize. What do you think of the plot arrangements regarding Tang San's future appearances? Also, what about the multiple female leads in this book, and the vote for the female lead of Douluo I?
Each of these is important to the young author. If you don't find it troublesome, I hope you'll participate seriously!
Then, I'll take a day off to rest and clear my head.
One more thing: depending on the situation next year, I'll probably try writing some Douluo Dalu III: The Legend of the Dragon King fanfiction. If you know any of the female characters from Douluo Dalu III: The Legend of the Dragon King, feel free to mention them: Gu Yuena, Xu Xiaoyan, Ye Xinglan, Yuanen Yehui, etc.
