Cai Yue'er first receives Li Moxun and Gu Yue in the Outer Court dean's office, questioning whether their displayed talent qualifies them for the Youth Class. Her refusal to introduce herself and dismissive scrutiny immediately antagonize Li Moxun. 71

Cai Yue'er challenges Li Moxun and Gu Yue's qualifications for Shrek Academy's Youth Class after Li Moxun publicly criticizes its favoritism and the quality of its students. She assigns Gu Yue a two-thousand-year soul beast and Li Moxun a six-thousand-year Flame Lion—far beyond the standard test—to settle her personal grievance. 72

The ruling explicitly removes her Outer Court elder title and warns that any further offense will result in immediate expulsion without leniency. Chu Zi'ang repeatedly escalates Blood Rage despite worsening injuries. Cai Yue'er severs his arm and opens his chest, but he lands a retaliatory punch that marks her armor. Enraged, she summons an enormous moon wheel to crush him. 186

Li Moxun waits outside the formation, intending to use Chu Zi'ang's death as the trigger for a spatial killing trap. Before being destroyed, however, Chu Zi'ang completes an incantation and unleashes Spirit Word: Lain, stopping Cai Yue'er's attack, shattering her manifested moon, and annihilating the surrounding formation and space. 186

Final Battle and Death

The resulting spatial destruction leaves Cai Yue'er with a fractured Martial Soul, a cracked body, and devastating internal injuries. Li Moxun approaches with Pride, his Eight Directions Ancient Sword, intending to kill her and devour her power. 187

Cai Yue'er burns her blood essence, lifespan, and remaining strength to recover enough power to resist. Her Three-Word Battle Armor explodes for additional enhancement, and she merges into a giant full moon. Her attacks destroy Li Moxun's Standard Three-Word Battle Armor, but he continues advancing and cuts deep wounds into the moon. 187

Unable to sustain her sacrifice indefinitely, Cai Yue'er tries to stall until Heaven Dou City's powerhouses arrive. Li Moxun recognizes her purpose and uses Void God Flash to teleport around her, repeatedly attacking and exhausting the strength gained from burning fifty years of lifespan. She warns that Shrek's people are approaching and threatens him and his companions. 188

As reinforcements near, Li Moxun activates a hidden Spatial Annihilation Formation and positions himself on a teleportation array. Death Investigation and Aftermath

Yun Ming senses Cai Yue'er's death through the Life Ancient Tree and convenes an urgent Sea God Pavilion meeting. He confirms that she is truly dead and orders the assembled elders to determine her activities and the circumstances of her death. 191

When the academy learns that Cai Yue'er had gone looking for Li Moxun, its attention turns to questioning him. Zhuo Shi recognizes that Li Moxun must be brought back regardless of whether his responsibility can be established. Shrek later sends Zhuo Shi, a white-robed peak Super Douluo, and additional powerful figures to locate him. 192 193

During the Pavilion questioning, Li Moxun gives a carefully controlled account of Cai Yue'er's earlier hostility. He claims that she sought to make him her nominal disciple, threatened him and Gu Yue after his refusal, and was injured when a treasure retaliated against her attack.
