Her curiosity intensifies after noticing that Li Moxun's apparent martial soul and the power within his body do not match. She confronts one of his clones outside the academy, identifies his connection to the Spirit Pagoda infiltration, and learns that he intends to use stolen herbs for pill refinement 10 11.

Gu Yue seeks Li Moxun's help because Tang Wulin's Golden Dragon King bloodline affects her reason and prevents her from acting according to her own will. She supplies spirit herbs in exchange for a mind-calming pill, then lets Li Moxun refine it within her portable independent space 11 13.

After taking the Calm Heart Pill, Gu Yue regains clarity and identifies Tang Wulin's bloodline as the source of her confusion. She begins suppressing her Silver Dragon King aura and commissions Li Moxun to refine further pills so she can gradually remove Tang Wulin's Golden Dragon King bloodline influence 14.

Gu Yue later infiltrates East Sea Academy with Zi Ji, removes a portion of Tang Wulin's Golden Dragon King bloodline, and destroys Tang San's divine consciousness inside him. When Tang Hao's consciousness descends in response, Li Moxun's Erii uses Judgment to disperse it, enabling Gu Yue to take roughly one-tenth of Tang Wulin's bloodline before withdrawing 16 17.

She apologizes to Li Moxun for endangering him and compensates him with five ten-thousand-year spirit herbs, a portable space, and Jade Orchid Grass. She continues to depend on his alchemy for treatment and mental stability while supplying him with cultivation resources 18 26.

After receiving benefits from Tang Wulin's Golden Dragon King bloodline, Gu Yue asks Li Moxun to help Tang Wulin awaken his recessive Clear Sky Hammer martial soul in return. She offers additional spirit herbs as payment, viewing the assistance as repayment for the benefits she gained from Tang Wulin 44.

Gu Yue's sustained use of Li Moxun's cultivation pills allows her to advance to the Third Ring rapidly. She defeats the injured Fourth-Ring Shrek disciple Yu Tianlong through coordinated elemental attacks and earns qualification for Shrek Academy's Youth Class 57 58.

Following her admission to Shrek Academy, Gu Yue repeatedly stands beside Li Moxun during Cai Yue'er's hostile assessment of them. She is willing to abandon Shrek Academy if Li Moxun is rejected, and later remains united with him when Ya Li resolves the dispute in their favor 72 73 74 75.

Over the following years, Gu Yue continues extracting and assimilating portions of Tang Wulin's Golden Dragon King bloodline while relying on Clear Mind Pills to resist the lingering pull between their bloodlines. By the time the Youth Class transitions into the Outer Court, she has reached the Fifth Ring, with her recovery and cultivation accelerated by the combined effects of the absorbed bloodline and Li Moxun's pills 67 79.

Following Leng Yaozhu's death, Gu Yue refuses Qian Gu Dongfeng's recruitment efforts and loses much of her former backing within the Spirit Pagoda. She instead begins establishing contact with Zhang Geyang and the rising Zhang Family, seeking to preserve her position and options within the organization 124.

Gu Yue later organizes a Spirit Pagoda Soul Beast Tower challenge for Li Moxun and their classmates. The outing also provides an opportunity for her and Li Moxun to isolate Tang Wulin and resume their long-delayed plan to take his Golden Dragon King bloodline 121 123 124 125.

During the ensuing operation, Gu Yue forcefully extracts power from Tang Wulin's eighteenth seal. The violent Golden Dragon King will and Dragon God's memories heavily burden her, but her absorption broadens her knowledge and advances her recovery toward a potential seven-colored dragon evolution 128 133 139.

After nearly losing Li Moxun, Gu Yue becomes more openly protective and affectionate toward him, no longer treating him primarily as a source of pills. She supplies Silver Dragon scales and blood for his alchemical work and cooperates in the creation of Silver Dragon Armor 148 149 150.

Her position within the Spirit Pagoda subsequently rises rapidly. On a later, unplanned tower expedition, she obtains immediate access for the group without submitting an advance application, but declines to explain the source of her improved standing 179.

When Shrek Academy summons Li Moxun for questioning after Cai Yue'er's death, Gu Yue arranges for Di Tian and Xiong Jun to remain nearby in case the interrogation turns violent. By the period preceding the academy's exchange-program challenge, she has also broken through to Soul Emperor while continuing to conceal her strength 194 200.

Gu Yue is intelligent, observant, and difficult to deceive. She notices irregularities in Li Moxun's identity and power early, but approaches him through negotiation rather than open conflict 9 10.

Her goals are pragmatic and centered on regaining control of herself, recovering her strength, and dealing with Tang Wulin's Golden Dragon King bloodline. Once freed from its influence, she becomes notably more rational, composed, and calculating 14 16.

She can be ruthless when pursuing those goals, as shown by her covert extraction of Tang Wulin's bloodline and destruction of Tang San's divine consciousness. However, she acknowledges responsibility when her actions endanger Li Moxun and accepts his demands for compensation 16 18.

Gu Yue is also capable of gratitude and loyalty. She seeks to repay Tang Wulin for the benefits his bloodline has unintentionally provided her, openly defends Li Moxun against Cai Yue'er, and expresses concern for his safety following dangerous confrontations 44 73 74 100.

Though she treats political alliances pragmatically, Gu Yue is able to discard former arrangements when they threaten her larger goals. She chooses to aid Li Moxun against Leng Yaozhu despite Leng's importance to her original Spirit Pagoda plans, judging their continuing alliance and her bloodline recovery to be more valuable 59.

The Calm Heart Pill clears Gu Yue's mind, allowing her to identify the influence of Tang Wulin's Golden Dragon King bloodline and commit to removing it gradually 14.

Extraction of the Golden Dragon King Bloodline

After compensating Li Moxun for the danger caused by her operation, Gu Yue continues supplying him with herbs and receiving pills that treat her injuries, stabilize her mind, and support her cultivation 18 26 30.

Their alliance expands beyond alchemy when Gu Yue requests his help in awakening Tang Wulin's second martial soul, warns him about threats from Leng Yaozhu, and cooperates with him in planning their future at Shrek Academy 44 58 59.

Gu Yue also provides Li Moxun with strategic assistance through her Battle Armor expertise and the secret realm's spatial-traversal properties, enabling his clones and covert plans to operate beyond Shrek Academy's boundaries 93 114 117.

Her Silver Dragon King blood and scales later become components of his Spatial Annihilation Formation. After his successful Soul Forging, he also plans to rely on her blueprints for Three-Word Battle Armor production 176 197.

Shrek Academy Youth Class

Gu Yue qualifies for Shrek Academy's Youth Class by defeating Yu Tianlong after reaching the Third Ring. Her pill-assisted growth and elemental control establish her as a qualified Youth Class student despite the disparity between her and Li Moxun's cultivation 57 58.

Conflict with Cai Yue'er

During the Youth Class assessment, Gu Yue witnesses Cai Yue'er deliberately target Li Moxun with unfair tests. She condemns the academy's conduct, stands by Li Moxun against Cai Yue'er's pressure, and declares that she will leave if he is refused admission 72 73 74.

Ya Li ultimately admits both Gu Yue and Li Moxun to the Youth Class, where Gu Yue continues to support him amid warnings that Cai Yue'er may retaliate 75 76.

During the later class-monitor trial incident, Gu Yue realizes that Li Moxun has been separated from her group and urgently moves toward him. Afterward, she checks him for possible hidden mental injuries and regrets that they could not face Cai Yue'er together 100.

Outer Court Period

After the Youth Class period concludes, Gu Yue enters Shrek Academy's Outer Court with Li Moxun and their classmates. Although Leng Yaozhu's death weakens her standing and Qian Gu Dongfeng obstructs her, Gu Yue begins cultivating ties with the Zhang Family while pursuing the practical benefits of the tower challenge 121 124.

After Tang Wulin leaves, Gu Yue approves continuing deeper into the tower. Li Moxun carries the remaining group through stronger opponents and defeats a ten-thousand-year Earth Dragon on the sixteenth floor 126.

Renewed Golden Dragon King Operation

Gu Yue and Li Moxun use the Soul Beast Tower outing as an opportunity to isolate Tang Wulin and resume their extraction plan 121 125. Gu Yue subsequently attacks the eighteenth seal, enduring extreme physical and spiritual strain to seize deeper Golden Dragon King power and the Dragon God's complete will 128.
