Background / History

Lan Tian learns of the well from memories of his past life and identifies it as a rare site where a cold spring and a hot spring coexist, producing abnormal vegetation and immortal herbs. At rank fifteen, he postpones his search until he is stronger enough to enter Sunset Forest safely. 20

Over six years, Lan Tian repeatedly surveys Sunset Forest and marks searched regions on his map. A parchment map recovered from a dead Soul Elder eventually points him toward an unexplored valley whose terrain matches the well’s expected location. 37 40 43
