Recruitment at Nuoding Academy

Yu Xiaogang first approaches Ye Yun and Tang San at Nuoding Primary Soul Master Academy, presenting himself as the author of the Ten Core Theories of Martial Souls. He identifies the possibility of Tang San possessing twin martial souls and offers to train both boys into powerful soul masters. His stated ambition is tied to proving his theories and regaining his clan's respect 3.

His controlled “expert” demeanor quickly collapses into an agitated fixation on his own theories. Tang San, initially inclined to trust him, becomes wary after witnessing Yu Xiaogang's erratic behavior 3.

Although Tang San later acknowledges him as a teacher, he repeatedly rejects Yu Xiaogang's control over his cultivation. Tang San independently acquires his first soul ring and disputes Yu Xiaogang's proposal to develop Blue Silver Grass through poison attributes, arguing that doing so would undermine its resilience and life-oriented nature 12.

Conflict with Ye Yun and Tang San

Alliance with Bibi Dong

After his rejection by Tang San, Yu Xiaogang seeks Bibi Dong at the Pope's Palace. He exploits her lingering affection by claiming that he wishes to atone and spend the rest of his life with her, while privately intending to use her power against Tang San and the [Harmony] Clan 58.

Learning that the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan has been destroyed leaves him devastated. He demands that Bibi Dong declare war on the [Harmony] Clan and insists on personally delivering the declaration through a livestream 58.

Downfall

Following Spirit Hall's destruction, Yu Xiaogang suffers a mental breakdown after learning that Bibi Dong has retreated. He attempts to flee, but a Soul Sage loyal to Bibi Dong stops him, cripples him, and sells him to a beggar who takes him to Scar Brother 62.

Bibi Dong later reaches the inn where he had been kept, finding only bloodstains and no trace of Yu Xiaogang 63.

Personality

Yu Xiaogang is consumed by pride in his theoretical work and an intense need for recognition. He reacts to disagreement as a personal insult, particularly when Tang San rejects his prescribed cultivation route or Ye Yun questions his accomplishments 12 13.
