Background / History

Ye Yun is a transmigrator who awakens the Harmony Hat martial soul in the Douluo world. Though he and Tang San both possess innate full soul power, their martial souls are dismissed as useless, and Old Jack arranges for them to attend Nuoding City's junior soul master academy. Ye Yun supports Tang San through the awakening and academy-entry process, becoming the brother figure Tang San trusts most. 1 2

At Nuoding Academy, Ye Yun discovers Xiao Wu's identity as a hundred-thousand-year soul beast. He offers her protection and a place in his family in exchange for loyalty, then implants the first Harmony totem to conceal her aura. This act draws the gaze of Xipe, the Aeon of Harmony, and leads to Ye Yun meeting Xipe in the Path Gap. 4 5

He later presents himself as a member of the Penacony Family from “Universe Continent,” using his knowledge of advanced technology and his supposed overseas background to gain the interest of Chen Xin and the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect.
