Background / History

C.C. is an immortal Code bearer who sought death after a long existence. She entered into a Geass contract with Marianne and assisted Marianne and Charles in their Geass and Code research. Lelouch and Nunnally were prepared as vessels intended to strip C.C. of her Code and fulfill her wish. 363 393

After Mahiro's Rewriting Eye went out of control at the Britannian imperial palace, C.C. left Britannia and resumed wandering. In the Chinese Federation, she found Mao as an abandoned child, recognized his exceptional Geass aptitude, and became a mother-like presence in his life. 433

She was captured by Britannian forces during the Shinjuku incident, then intercepted by Mahiro and Shadow Garden. Although initially afraid of Mahiro because of their prior encounters, she chose to remain near him after discovering that he was immune to Geass and incapable of forming a contract. 364 366 372
