Tree of Might Fruit!

"Hey! Who are you?! What are you doing on Earth?!"

Goku stared at the man before him, who looked remarkably like himself, and demanded loudly.

"Kakarot, I really ought to thank you. If it weren't for you, I never would have found such a top-quality planet."

Turles spoke excitedly, then started walking toward Goku.

"Kakarot, the two of us were both low-class warriors looked down upon by our own people, yet now we possess strength that even elite upper-class warriors can only envy. Come on! If we join forces, the entire universe will be ours!"

Turles grew more excited with every word.

Hearing that the man's target was Earth, Goku's gaze sharpened. He stepped forward, and his aura slowly began to rise.

"I knew a guy like you couldn't be any good. I won't let you do whatever you want."

"What are you talking about, Kakarot? We're both Saiyans."

As Turles spoke, he even swayed the tail behind him.

"My name is Son Goku, and I'm an Earthling!"

The moment Goku finished speaking, a sudden change occurred.

In the distant forest, a colossal tree erupted from the ground at a visible speed. Its massive trunk stretched upward like a giant's arm, while its enormous canopy swallowed half the sky within only a few breaths. Its branches writhed like living creatures, their tips piercing the clouds as they greedily absorbed energy from the atmosphere.

"Just as I thought!" Lin Yuan's pupils constricted. "I didn't expect it to happen this fast!"

Goku looked at the enormous tree that nearly filled the sky, the sense of foreboding in his heart growing stronger as he demanded, "Th-Then... what is that thing?!"

A smug expression spread across Turles's face as he crossed his arms. "That thing is called the Tree of Might. It bears something known as the Fruit of Might, and eating one will multiply your strength! So, Kakarot, I'll give you one more chance. Join my army, and the two of us can conquer the universe together. What do you say?!"

"The price is that the entire planet will be turned into a wasteland, isn't it?" Lin Yuan said coldly.

Turles glanced at Lin Yuan in surprise. "I didn't expect you to know so much. That's right! Once the Tree of Might is planted, it absorbs all the energy of the entire planet until it becomes barren."

"And the more life a planet has, the more astonishing the energy contained in the fruit it bears. The more you gain after eating it. This planet is practically the most perfect one I've ever seen. I'm getting a little impatient."

Seeing that the foundation of his opponent's power was something so cruel, Goku could no longer endure it.

In an instant, Goku fully unleashed his aura. White flames of energy rose continuously from beneath his feet as blue energy gathered in his hands.

With a thunderous explosion, dust and smoke billowed everywhere. Yet the Tree of Might was completely unharmed, let alone blasted away.

"Hahahaha! Idiot, once the Tree of Might has been planted, no power can stop it. Don't waste your strength."

Turles's subordinates burst into laughter.

"How can this be?!" Goku looked shocked. That had been his full-power attack. "Gohan, Lin Yuan! Let's attack it together and see!"

"Don't bother trying again, Goku! We can't possibly shake it. What it contains is the life energy of the entire Earth!"

"Are we supposed to just watch Earth turn into a desert?!" Goku said anxiously.

"The Spirit Bomb! Use the Spirit Bomb to target the tree's roots. It should be able to disperse them!"

At Lin Yuan's words, Goku did not dare delay. He quickly raised his hands, and strands of life energy began gathering in his palms.

"I'll need some time to gather it!"

"Don't worry. Gohan and I will hold them off."

Watching Goku's actions, Turles felt a sense of unease rise in his heart. He immediately shouted at his subordinates.

"Quick! Stop them!!"

At his command, Turles's five subordinates instantly charged toward the three of them.

"They're coming, Gohan! Let's go!"

With that, Lin Yuan and Gohan both rushed out to face the five men.

Because Turles's subordinates had followed him for many years, their battle powers were naturally not low. The weakest had a battle power of 8,500, while the two strongest had even reached 13,000!

But Lin Yuan and Gohan did not fear them in the slightest. Two against five, and after only one exchange, they sent two of them flying.

Seeing that his subordinates were no match for them, Turles clenched his fists and cursed through gritted teeth, "Trash!" Then he glared hatefully at Kakarot.

"Kakarot, I kindly invited you to join my army, but not only did you refuse to appreciate it, you even dared to try to stop me! Then I'll just have to kill you first!"

With that, Turles turned into a shooting star and charged straight at Goku! But a figure blocked his path—it was Lin Yuan.

The instant Lin Yuan noticed Turles make a move, he left the five men to Gohan and used Instant Transmission to appear directly in front of Turles.

Lin Yuan raised both arms to block, and the tremendous force left his arms numb.

Without hesitation, Lin Yuan activated the twofold Kaio-ken. A red aura instantly enveloped his body as he clashed with Turles!

Turles had never expected the man before him to suddenly grow so much stronger. In an instant, he was being suppressed. If this continued, things could go badly.

As he frantically defended himself, he kept thinking.

He could sense that the energy gathering in Kakarot's hands was actually the same kind as the energy within the Tree of Might! If the tree was destroyed, he would surely be finished too. In that case...

In a moment of carelessness, Turles was blasted into the trunk of the Tree of Might by Lin Yuan's punch.

Just as Lin Yuan was about to press the attack, countless ki blasts shot toward Goku. Lin Yuan could only dart in front of Goku and fire a Ki Blast, detonating every one of them.

Meanwhile, Turles was flying at top speed toward the nearest ripe fruit of the Tree of Might. Just as he reached out to pluck it, Lin Yuan used Instant Transmission to appear before him. Both of them grabbed the strangely shaped red fruit at the same time.

"Crunch!"

Under the force of both their grips, the Tree of Might fruit split in half. Turles could no longer care about anything else and shoved his half straight into his mouth.

Lin Yuan froze for a moment, then stuffed the remaining half into his mouth in one go!

"You eat? Then I'll eat too!"
