Like a green meteor, Cell plunged headfirst into the sea, sending up a spray of water.
Each time he struck, the seawater churned violently, as if the entire ocean were groaning in agony along with him.
At last, he crashed into an uninhabited island like a cannonball, instantly blasting a massive crater into its center.
Shattered stones exploded dozens of stories into the air, while clouds of dust scattered outward and obscured the sky.
Only as the dust slowly settled did the scene at the bottom of the crater come into view.
Cell lay there with his limbs limp, his chest armor completely shattered—exposing the flesh beneath. Green blood kept pouring out, quickly forming a large pool of sticky fluid on the ground.
He panted heavily, his breathing rapid and ragged. Every violent rise and fall of his chest made the broken shell fragments creak.
"Cough... cough, cough..." Cell struggled to push himself up, but his arms could barely support his weight.
He wiped the green blood from the corner of his mouth with the back of his hand and looked toward Chen Hao in the distance, his eyes filled with terror and disbelief.
His compound eyes locked tightly onto Chen Hao, panic flashing within them. "How is that possible... ten times? There's actually power like that..."
Gritting his teeth, he glanced at Chen Hao again—the man stood within a golden aura like a god.
He understood that he could no longer win. Staying any longer would only humiliate him.
He vanished in a flash, leaving behind only a faint afterimage.
Not long afterward, the sound of air bursting came from the horizon. Cell seemed to have already fled far away.
"Ran away, huh." Chen Hao withdrew his hand and let out a soft breath as the golden aura around him dissipated.
He slipped his hands back into his pockets and looked out at the lingering turbulence on the sea, a faint smile on his lips.
Android 18 finally snapped out of her shock. Her body was still stiff as her gaze slowly settled on Chen Hao's back. That figure was not actually very imposing, yet in her eyes now, he seemed like a giant.
For the first time, her cold mechanical eyes held a trace of complex emotion—shock, a little confusion, and a faint, indescribable flutter. Her fingers curled slightly, and she had even forgotten to breathe.
After a while, she finally spoke. "Who are you?" Her voice remained icy, like a winter wind sweeping across frozen water, but there seemed to be less hostility in it now, replaced by an unfathomable curiosity.
Chen Hao slowly turned around, gravel crunching beneath his feet. Just as he was about to say something, the air behind him suddenly grew oppressive. A violent aura surged in from afar, instantly sending dust swirling into the air.
"You bastard!"
A low roar tore through the dead silence.
Vegeta strode down from the sky. The moment he landed, he blasted a deep crater into the ground, sending stones flying everywhere. The golden aura around him flickered wildly, as though it were about to swallow him whole. He glared at Chen Hao, his fists clenched so tightly they turned white, his knuckles cracking and the veins on the backs of his hands bulging.
"Who the hell are you? Why do you have the power of a Super Saiyan?" Vegeta's voice was so tightly restrained it was almost breathless, every word drilling into the ears. He closed in step by step, each footfall making the earth tremble. "And your energy... why does it feel so familiar? It's even stronger than Kakarot's?"
Chen Hao raised an eyebrow, and an amused smile appeared at the corner of his mouth.
He turned slightly and studied the proud Saiyan prince before him with interest.
"My name is Chen Hao." With both hands in his pockets, his tone was astonishingly calm. "As for why I'm a Super Saiyan... I have no intention of explaining that to you."
Those words ignited the air like explosives. Vegeta's face instantly darkened, his pupils contracted, and a dangerous red glint lit up in his eyes as the veins in his forehead throbbed.
"What did you say?" Every word carried a low-burning rage, and the air around him seemed close to melting. "You dare speak to me in that tone? Do you know who I am?"
"I do." Chen Hao nodded, his smile fading slightly. He straightened up and met Vegeta's gaze head-on. "The prince of the Saiyans, Vegeta," he said lightly. "But—so what?"
Vegeta's entire body jerked. The golden aura around him surged explosively as a violent gale swept outward, carrying broken stones high into the sky. Grass and trees were instantly ground into powder, and even the air twisted into a distorted hum. Madness burned in his eyes as his teeth ground together with a crackle.
"You're dead!"
The instant the words left his mouth, Vegeta flashed and disappeared from where he stood. His afterimage lingered in the air, while his real body had already appeared directly in front of Chen Hao. The air boomed as he raised his right leg, terrifying energy gathering in his knee before he drove it viciously toward Chen Hao's abdomen with force enough to tear apart heaven and earth. Even the air was compressed into a visible vortex by that strike.
Trunks' eyes widened at the side, his pupils shrinking to pinpoints. He had not even seen Vegeta move—he only felt a violent gust howl past, with the impact about to happen. He had just opened his mouth to shout, only to realize he did not even have time to make a sound.
As if he had already seen through everything, Chen Hao did not even raise his head. He merely shifted lightly to the side, and Vegeta's fierce blow brushed past the hem of his clothes, stirring only a gust that fluttered the hair over his forehead. The force of the strike tore the air with a faint boom, jolting the scattered stones two inches off the ground before they crashed back down.
"What?!" Vegeta's pupils contracted violently. His body froze in midair, his fist halted halfway. His breathing stopped for a moment, his eyes full of shock—he had launched a full-force sneak attack, yet had not even touched the edge of his opponent's clothes.
