Background / History

Android 18 is targeted by Cell, who requires her absorption to attain his Perfect Form. Already exhausted and unable to evade Cell's tail stinger, she is saved when Chen Hao intervenes. She leaves the battlefield with Krillin at Chen Hao's instruction, then questions the mysterious fighter's identity after witnessing his overwhelming strength. 3 4 5 7

After Cell absorbs Android 17 and later Vegeta's energy, Android 18 chooses to pursue Chen Hao rather than wait for Cell to hunt her down. She cites Chen Hao's rescue of her and his decision not to kill Vegeta as proof that he is not wholly malicious.
