Background

Qin Zheng was a one-year-old orphan with memories of a past life when human traffickers captured him to sell as a slave. Qian Xifeng, then Pope of Spirit Hall and First Consecrator of the Consecration Hall, rescued him, brought him to Spirit Hall, and accepted him as a disciple. Qin Zheng later regarded Qian Xifeng as the reason the Qin Emperor could exist at all. 44

His talent rapidly made him the strongest figure of his era. At seventeen, he had reached Ultimate Douluo and received the opportunity to inherit a divine position. He refused ascension because a god could not freely interfere with the lower realm; he believed leaving would ultimately allow Spirit Hall to be destroyed in the future. 2

Rather than accept a god’s inheritance, Qin Zheng secretly excavated a forbidden ground deep underground and forged the Black Dragon Jade Coffin. He fused the world’s ultimate dragon attributes with the origins of his two god-grade martial souls, then sealed himself in slumber while concealing his divine trials. 2 45

During his original era, Qin Zheng held Spirit Hall’s punitive authority and forced sects, empires, and soul beast clans into submission. The rulers of the two great empires paid him respects, while the continent knew him as the Qin Emperor. 8 26

After awakening, he found Spirit Hall divided under Bibi Dong’s rule and learned of Qian Renxue’s coercive assignment to infiltrate the Heaven Dou Empire. He chose to intervene, protect Qian Renxue, and restore Spirit Hall to a single command. 2 27

Appearance

Qin Zheng appears as a handsome youth of roughly seventeen or eighteen despite having lived through two millennia. He carries an oppressive, regal presence that others compare to one standing above heaven and earth. 9 20

  • Tall, upright build. 2 4
  • Cool, peerless facial features and deep pitch-black eyes. 1 15
  • Ink-black hair, often described as falling over his shoulders or flying in the wind. 7 15
  • Wears a dark black dragon robe marked with faint purple-gold patterns. 4 7
  • His martial soul manifestation takes the form of a colossal black dragon. 16 53

Personality

Qin Zheng is composed, detached, and overwhelmingly confident. He typically treats opposition with the indifference of someone facing beings far beneath him, responding to threats with suppression rather than argument. 8 20 26

He is fiercely protective of Qian Renxue and considers safeguarding her both a duty to Spirit Hall and repayment for Qian Xifeng’s care. His manner toward her is markedly gentle: he reassures her, holds her hand, gives her authority over Bibi Dong’s fate, and takes her beyond Spirit Hall to experience the world. 2 4 38 47

His mercy is conditional and pragmatic. Qin Zheng spared several elders because they had not knowingly attacked a Qian-family descendant, but he publicly executed Snake Spear Douluo and ordered the extermination of his clan for defiance. 27 42 46

Qin Zheng also possesses immense ambition. Though seven divine trials were available to him, he rejected becoming a conventional god and instead seeks to forge a divine position equal to or surpassing the Divine Realm’s creator gods. 45

Abilities & Skills

Super-divine-grade Martial Souls

Qin Zheng possesses two super-divine-grade dragon martial souls: the Terminus Sacred Dragon and Crown Sun Sacred Dragon. Their opposing natures embody ending and beginning, death and life. 45

  • Terminus Sacred Dragon — manifests as a gigantic black dragon associated with darkness, destruction, and finality. 16 53
  • Crown Sun Sacred Dragon — a sacred golden dragon martial soul associated with vitality; Qin Zheng used its unique traits to suppress divine positions and trials for two thousand years. 45
  • His martial souls allow a special self-sealing method and support his attempt to forge an independent divine position. 2 45

Soul Ring Configuration

Qin Zheng possesses nine soul rings: two purple, two black, and five hundred-thousand-year red rings. 17

  • Configuration: Purple, Purple, Black, Black, Red, Red, Red, Red, Red. 17
  • The five red rings shocked Bibi Dong and the Titled Douluo, as such a configuration was considered unprecedented. 17

Overwhelming Pressure and Soul Power

Qin Zheng can suppress opponents through aura or pressure alone, often without summoning a martial soul or releasing soul rings. 7 13 26

  • Suppressed Chrysanthemum Douluo and Ghost Douluo into kneeling positions. 7
  • Blocked a combined assault by seven Titled Douluo without releasing martial soul or soul rings. 13
  • Forced Rank 99 Qian Daoliu back and injured him through pressure. 26

  • Emerged from spatial rifts and moved at speeds Qian Daoliu could not perceive. 15 47
  • Summoned Qian Renxue directly to his side through spatial force. 36

Power of Heaven — Myriad Phenomena Realm: Lightning Strike

Qin Zheng’s second soul skill summons destructive white lightning. 17

  • Generates lightning potent enough that nearby Titled Douluo believe a direct strike would reduce them to ash. 17
  • Used against Bibi Dong as the Emperor’s Punishment Lightning Strike. 18

Power of Heaven — Primordial World God Power: Creation Reshaping

Qin Zheng’s eighth soul skill governs laws and rules on a fundamental level. 22

  • Broke Chrysanthemum Douluo and Ghost Douluo’s Two Poles Stillness Domain. 22

  • Rewrote rules to force the six elders to kneel and disperse their soul power. 22 23
  • Extracted the elders’ martial souls and reduced them from Titled Douluo to Soul Sage. 23 24

Formless Darkness and Formless Wall

Qin Zheng uses formless power to suppress, devour, and imprison enemies. 14 20 29

  • Drained Bibi Dong’s soul power with formless darkness and expelled eight Titled Douluo from the Papal Palace. 14
  • Sealed Rank 99 Bibi Dong in a pure-white Formless Wall. 20
  • Moved the sealed barrier and its captive at will, while preventing Bibi Dong’s voice from escaping. 29

Equipment / Items

  • Black Dragon Jade Coffin — a coffin forged in the underground forbidden ground to preserve Qin Zheng during his self-imposed slumber. 2
  • Ancient book — read by Qin Zheng while seated on the Papal Throne. 46
