Background / History

Qian Daoliu is a direct descendant of Qian Xifeng, the previous Hall Emperor who raised and taught Qin Zheng. He is also the grandfather of Qian Renxue and a Rank 99 Limit Douluo. Despite his affection for Renxue, he silently accepted the order for her to relinquish her position and infiltrate the Heaven Dou Empire, prioritizing Spirit Hall’s larger plan and the Angel God inheritance over her childhood and freedom. 1 26

He serves as Spirit Hall’s Grand Worshipper and its pillar, holding the status of Angel God’s spokesperson. He permitted Bibi Dong to remain Pope partly out of guilt over the Qian Family’s past and because of her inseverable connection to the family through Qian Renxue. 25 30 31

When Qin Zheng returns, Qian Daoliu initially watches from the Angel statue rather than intervening as the Ancestor cripples six elders. He subsequently acknowledges Qin Zheng, bows to him, and repeatedly petitions for mercy for Bibi Dong and the elders in order to preserve Spirit Hall. 24 25

Qian Daoliu is devoted to Spirit Hall, its continuity, and the Qian Family bloodline. His decisions are pragmatic and often burdened by guilt: he sacrificed Qian Renxue’s freedom for the greater plan, tolerated Bibi Dong’s position, and later pleaded for those who had offended Qin Zheng. 1 25 31

He is politically cautious and willing to use indirect methods. When Qin Zheng intends to judge Bibi Dong, Qian Daoliu invokes Qian Renxue’s feelings as a means of seeking leniency, a tactic Qin Zheng immediately recognizes as “retreating in order to advance.” 36

Although he tries to preserve his dignity as Grand Worshipper, Qian Daoliu understands when resistance is futile. Qin Zheng’s pressure leaves him injured, terrified, and unable to muster opposition; nevertheless, he continues to negotiate where he believes Spirit Hall or his family can be protected. 26 29 30

Qian Daoliu remains silent when Qian Renxue is ordered to abandon her Young Master status, hide her Angel bloodline, and infiltrate the Heaven Dou imperial palace. His silence drives her to seek Qin Zheng’s aid in the forbidden ground. 1

Qin Zheng’s Return to Spirit Hall

After Qin Zheng awakens and defeats Bibi Dong’s elders, Qian Daoliu appears at the Angel statue and watches the consequences unfold. He eventually bows to Qin Zheng as the Ancestor, then asks him to forgive Bibi Dong and the elders for Spirit Hall’s sake. 24 25

Submission to the Qin Emperor

Qin Zheng challenges Qian Daoliu’s earlier silence and his failure to defend Qian Renxue. Qian Daoliu is wounded by Qin Zheng’s pressure and accepts that his Rank 99 cultivation cannot meaningfully oppose the returned Qin Emperor. 26 29 30

Plea for Bibi Dong
