Background / History
Tang Lie was an elder of the secluded Clear Sky Sect and an assault-type Rank 93 Titled Douluo. He wielded the sect’s inherited Clear Sky Hammer martial soul and bore the title Blazing Sun Douluo. When Qin Zheng destroyed a village near the sect to force its higher ranks to appear, Tang Lie emerged to demand an explanation for the slaughter. 53 54
Initially, Tang Lie treated Qin Zheng as a powerful but unknown Titled Douluo. He invoked the Clear Sky Sect’s reputation, its Ultimate Douluo, and the Snow Mountain Formation, believing the sect could not be bullied without consequence. Qin Zheng answered by crushing him into a kneeling position with pure pressure, leaving him unable to resist. 54
After Tang Huang and Tang Kun addressed Qin Zheng as the Qin Emperor, Tang Lie recognized the figure from the sect’s ancestral warnings. He struggled to accept that the man who had nearly destroyed the Clear Sky Sect two thousand years earlier was still alive, but accepted the reality after witnessing Qin Zheng effortlessly overpower all three elders. 55 57
Tang Lie remained trapped with Tang Huang and Tang Kun under Spirit Hall’s blockade while they failed to locate Tang Hao. Though frightened by the threat against the sect, he believed the Clear Sky Sect could not simply await destruction. 58 60 61
When Qin Zheng returned, Tang Lie resisted with his full strength and activated his ninth soul skill. Qin Zheng’s black Soul Power shattered both the attack and Tang Lie’s Clear Sky Hammer before decapitating him and extinguishing his soul. His head was subsequently displayed on Heaven Dou City’s southern gate as a warning to the Clear Sky Sect. 93 94

- Possessed a powerful, assault-oriented Soul Power aura. 54
- Manifested an enormous azure Clear Sky Hammer marked with strange patterns. 54
- Displayed nine soul rings: two yellow, two purple, and five black. 54
Personality
Tang Lie was initially formal and forceful. He introduced himself without servility, demanded that Qin Zheng justify his actions, and defended the honor of the Clear Sky Sect despite facing a visibly superior opponent. 54
His confidence collapsed after learning Qin Zheng was the Qin Emperor and experiencing the gulf in their strength firsthand. He became fearful and panicked over the sect’s possible annihilation, yet remained unwilling to accept that the Clear Sky Sect’s legacy should be destroyed by Qin Zheng. 57 58 93
