Background / History

Champa resides at Universe 6's God of Destruction's Temple under Vados's attendant care. Vados privately instructs Lin Yu to humble him, believing Champa has become lazy and overly complacent. 25

When Lin Yu disparages the temple as run-down, Champa takes the insult personally and attacks him. Although Lin Yu initially sends him through several stars with one punch, Champa recovers and releases the power of a God of Destruction. 25

Personality

Champa is proud, hot-tempered, and highly sensitive to disrespect. Lin Yu's dismissal of both his temple and his strength provokes him into an immediate fight. 25

He is also competitive and resentful when Vados supports Lin Yu. After learning that Vados considers Lin Yu her man, Champa accuses her of conspiring with an outsider and repeatedly calls Lin Yu a “pretty boy” to provoke him. 27

Despite his destructive authority, Champa can behave childishly. Upon hearing of Vados's pregnancy, he eagerly attempts to name the twins and continues arguing even after Vados violently rejects his suggestion. 28

Conflict with Lin Yu

Champa confronts Lin Yu at the God of Destruction's Temple over his insults, only to be immediately punched through several stars. He then reveals his true God of Destruction power, prompting Lin Yu to transform into Super Saiyan 4. 25

Their battle devastates the surrounding region of Universe 6: planets and meteors are destroyed, space is shattered, and Vados must repair the resulting damage. 26

Champa employs Destruction energy but is defeated when Lin Yu's Sword-Piercing Wave breaks through his attack and Lin Yu follows with a punch that leaves Champa bleeding and staggered. Vados ends the confrontation before it can continue. 27

Vados's Pregnancy

Champa reacts excitedly to Vados's pregnancy with twins and calls them his future nephews. His insistence on naming them “Xiang Qi” leads Vados to send him flying into a blazing star, leaving him scorched and smoking. 28
