Gogeta vs. Son Goku

Early the next morning, Gogeta and Goku brought the two Gohans, along with Trunks, to Kami's Lookout.

"Yo, Kami, you've been revived too!"

Goku greeted him enthusiastically.

"And Mr. Popo."

Mr. Popo said in his simple, guileless voice, "This is wonderful. Lord Kami has been revived."

Because Piccolo had died in battle, Kami had died along with him. Mr. Popo had guarded Kami's Lookout alone for over ten years, lonely beyond measure. Now that Kami had been revived, Mr. Popo was very happy.

"We came this time to train in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. Gohan and Trunks have too weak a foundation, so they need to start from scratch."

Goku stated the purpose of their visit.

"No problem. I'll take you there. The Hyperbolic Time Chamber is at the very bottom of the Lookout."

Mr. Popo agreed right away and led the group toward the bottom of the Lookout.

When they reached the entrance, Goku suddenly stopped and said, "Wait a second. I'm going to get Vegeta. He'll definitely want to come too."

Then he used Instant Transmission and vanished.

This time, six people were going in. Gogeta suddenly remembered a loophole in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber: during the Cell era, only two people could enter at a time, but by the time of Majin Buu, Piccolo, Goten, Trunks, and Majin Buu himself—four people in total—had gone inside without anything happening.

That was rather strange.

So this time, Gogeta planned to have everyone go in together. Even if the exit really did disappear, they could simply smash through space itself and get out with brute force.

Before long, Goku returned with Vegeta.

Vegeta still wore that arrogant expression as he sneered, "Damn Kakarot. You had a place this good and didn't tell us sooner. If we'd trained in there when the Androids appeared, how could those two heaps of scrap metal have killed so many people?"

Goku scratched his head awkwardly and explained, "I died from my heart disease back then! There was no way I could tell you."

"Besides, we didn't know the Androids would appear then. I only went inside for a while when I was little, and I forgot about it afterward."

Vegeta gave a cold snort and said nothing.

"Let's go. Everyone goes in."

Gogeta spoke up.

"Everyone?"

Goku was a little surprised. He knew the rules of the Hyperbolic Time Chamber.

"Only two people can go in at once. Otherwise, the exit will disappear."

Mr. Popo explained from the side.

"It's fine. I have a way. Trust me."

Gogeta said confidently.

"Then let's go in."

Seeing Gogeta's confidence, Goku didn't say anything more and went straight inside.

The others followed him in. Only Gogeta and Mr. Popo remained outside. Gogeta said, "If a long time passes and we still haven't come out, please let Bulma know to gather the Dragon Balls and see what happened to us."

"Don't worry. The chances of that happening are very small, but just in case, it's better to leave a backup plan. Sorry to trouble you, Mr. Popo."

"Okay."

Mr. Popo agreed.

Gogeta turned and entered the Hyperbolic Time Chamber as well.

Inside the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, everyone curiously looked at the snow-white world before them. There was no end in sight, and in this place, there was only one tiny building.

Little Gohan walked outside and was immediately forced down onto one knee by the immense gravity.

"The gravity here is four times that outside. The air is only a quarter as dense, and the temperature fluctuates between fifty degrees Celsius and minus forty."

"Most importantly, one year passes in here while only one day passes outside."

"However, each person can only stay for two days, and only two people can enter at a time."

"But Gogeta said he has a way, so all of us came in together."

Goku explained the conditions inside to everyone.

After resting for a bit and eating, Goku could no longer sit still.

"Gogeta, you can let me see your power now, right?"

An excited expression appeared on Goku's face.

The others also looked toward the two of them. They, too, wanted to see Goku and Gogeta's strength.

"Come on. I hope this doesn't discourage you."

Gogeta said to Goku.

The group went outside. Goku and Gogeta stood facing each other, while the others watched from a short distance away.

Without transforming into a Super Saiyan, Goku charged straight at Gogeta and threw a punch with his right hand. Gogeta casually raised a hand and blocked it.

Goku immediately followed with a kick, but Gogeta caught it just as easily. Goku then began a frenzied assault.

"Da da da da da da da~~"

Gogeta effortlessly dodged every attack.

"So strong."

The spectators exclaimed in admiration. Vegeta, of course, remained calm-faced.

Then Gogeta countered with a backhand punch that landed directly in Goku's abdomen. Goku was sent flying, rolled several times through the air, and landed steadily on the ground.

"You're amazing, Gogeta."

Goku's aura flared as he transformed into a Super Saiyan, then charged at Gogeta again.

Goku flashed behind Gogeta and swung a chopping strike at him. Gogeta turned and dodged, then threw a punch. Goku crossed his arms and blocked it, but the force still drove him backward, carving two long marks into the ground.

Goku raised a hand and fired a Ki Blast, but Gogeta casually knocked it aside. Goku then continuously fired Ki Blasts, sending a barrage of them toward Gogeta.

That was right—Goku had used the classic Prince's Tactic.

For a moment, thick smoke billowed from where Gogeta stood. Goku watched the smoke warily, certain that Gogeta could not be defeated so easily.

Suddenly, Goku sensed something. Turning around, he saw Gogeta above and behind him, with a massive energy sphere already gathered in his hand.

Gogeta fired the energy sphere at Goku. With no time to dodge, Goku could only take the attack head-on.

Goku spread his arms and held back the energy sphere, but its power was too overwhelming, forcing him down to the ground.

Gogeta fired another Ki Blast, directly detonating the massive energy sphere. The blast wave from the explosion made the spectators struggle to hold their ground.

"What terrifying energy!!!"

"Is Uncle Goku okay???"

Future Gohan and Trunks said with difficulty.

Little Gohan hid behind Vegeta at that moment, completely dumbfounded.

"Kakarot won't lose that easily."

"Neither of them has used their full strength yet. This is only a warm-up."

Vegeta clenched his fists. With his insight, it was easy for him to see that neither had gone all out. But during the years he had been dead, he had gone to Hell without a physical body and could not train, causing him to fall far behind Goku.

Goku tore off the orange martial arts uniform covering his upper body and said, "Gogeta, you're really amazing. You're this strong without even transforming into a Super Saiyan. But I won't admit defeat. Next, I'm going to use all my strength."
