Background / History

Yu Xiaogang is the son of Yu Yuanzhen, sect master of the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Sect. His martial soul awakened as a pig-like purple creature rather than the clan’s orthodox Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon, and his low innate soul power left him unable to inherit the sect’s legacy. He was ultimately expelled from the clan. 21 22

He had previously been involved with Bibi Dong. By the time he returns to Spirit City, their separation has left him resentful, while Bibi Dong remains deeply attached to him. 26

He believes that Lin Mo and Qian Renxue require his instruction and imagines gaining fame by training them into Titled Douluo. 22 30 31

He is opportunistic and manipulative. After meeting Bibi Dong while injured, he falsely claims the guards attacked him without provocation and pretends that he avoided mentioning her name out of concern for her, exploiting her lingering feelings to obtain care and promised revenge. 26

Unable to provide valid identification, sufficient strength, or a recognized endorsement, he reveals his two-ring martial soul at the southern gate and is beaten and expelled by Angel Legion guards. 22

Reunion with Bibi Dong

After wandering into the library where they first met, Yu Xiaogang reunites with Bibi Dong. He fabricates a story of unprovoked abuse by Spirit Hall guards, convincing her to treat him and seek vengeance on his behalf. 25 26
