During the preparation phase, Lin Mu and his teammates returned to the classroom to discuss the changed rules and their plans going forward.

With Itadori and Junpei joining them, the plan they had made earlier was no longer suitable.

Leaning on her naginata, Maki gave a brief introduction to the exchange event's rules.

"Since there are newcomers, I'll generously explain the rules one more time."

"A large number of cursed spirits have been released into the competition grounds, along with one especially powerful Grade 2 cursed spirit."

"Whichever side finds and exorcises the Grade 2 cursed spirit within the time limit wins. If neither side finds it, the winner will be decided by the number of ordinary cursed spirits exorcised."

"Before, a lot of our plans had to be scrapped because we were outnumbered."

"But now we have two extra people. Our chances of winning are high!"

Mai pushed up her glasses. "The biggest threat from Kyoto is Todo, the only Grade 1 sorcerer on the field!!"

Mai's voice noticeably rose as she said that, hoping to make Fushiguro and the others take it seriously and stay on guard.

Yet every one of them remained expressionless, as though a Grade 1 sorcerer did not seem all that strong to them.

"Hey, hey, hey, what's with that attitude? He's a Grade 1 sorcerer! A Grade 1 who's even defeated a special grade!"

Fushiguro remained expressionless, while Kugisaki dug at her ear and replied flatly, "Oh."

Itadori was even picking his nose.

Their thoughts were strangely unanimous at that moment. Is a Grade 1 really that strong? Then you've never seen what Lin Mu can do!

Though they had never compared them directly, they knew very well that Lin Mu's strength was definitely above Grade 1! So long as Lin Mu was there, nothing could possibly go wrong in this exchange event.

Just as Maki was about to explode, Junpei timidly asked, "Is a Grade 1 sorcerer really that strong?"

Maki finally found a way to recover and coughed before continuing, "Of course. Grade 1 sorcerers are very, very strong!"

"He could even take on all of us by himself!"

Junpei scratched his head. "Is that so? Then how does he compare to Big Brother Lin Mu?"

"Huh? Big Brother?" Maki looked baffled. "Him?"

"Cough, cough, cough—" Panda coughed beside her, reminding Maki that they were teammates after all. Saying something like that would hurt morale too much.

"Cough, cough. What I mean is, it would be rather difficult for Lin Mu to defeat Todo."

"Is that so? Then can he blow up an entire floor with one attack?" Junpei continued asking.

"What kind of joke is that? To do something like that, he'd have to be a Grade 1 sorcerer with a high-output cursed technique."

"Then can he kill more than two hundred cursed spirits in one attack?"

Maki was instantly stunned. "How could that be possible? Even if they were all the weakest kind, there's no way he could wipe them all out in one hit."

"More importantly, why are you asking all this? Don't tell me you've seen it with your own eyes?"

Just as Junpei was about to speak, Lin Mu appeared and patted him on the shoulder. Junpei understood and said nothing more.

Maki immediately grew irritated. "Seriously, what kind of nonsensical questions are those? Do you think every sorcerer is as monstrous as you described?"

"I'm telling you, not one person here can do that!"

Panda and Inumaki held back the Maki who was about to erupt. They comforted her by saying the newcomers simply did not understand, and only then did she barely calm down.

"Fushiguro, you tell them just how strong Todo is."

Fushiguro thought for a moment before slowly saying, "He really is very strong—for us."

Maki raised a brow, puzzled over why Fushiguro had added "for us," but on second thought, it did not seem wrong.

"His cursed technique is extremely troublesome!"

Lin Mu lifted a finger, delight rising in his heart. Todo had actually been forced to reveal his cursed technique.

He remembered that in the original story, when Fushiguro first fought Todo, he had been completely crushed in hand-to-hand combat. If Panda had not arrived in time to save him, Fushiguro probably would not even have been able to take part in the exchange event.

But under his influence, Fushiguro had become strong enough to force Todo to use cursed energy during their first encounter. That was undoubtedly a tremendous improvement.

Perhaps if this continued, the main cast would become far stronger in the later stages than they had been in the original story!

After Fushiguro roughly explained Todo's cursed technique to everyone, Kugisaki and Itadori also grew serious.

Lin Mu might be strong, but they had no intention of holding him back.

Seeing that her warning had worked, Maki continued, "There's one more thing you need to be reminded of. This exchange event has added a new category."

"A personal points ranking."

"Points will be awarded based on the number of cursed spirits each person exorcises, and the person who ranks first in the end will receive many benefits."

"It'll be easier to get a recommendation for a higher sorcerer grade, gain more chances to participate in missions, and choose one special-grade cursed tool stored at Jujutsu High!"

At the mention of the first-place reward, everyone perked up. Still, they also knew how difficult it would be to claim first place.

"Alright, that's about it. Which of you can hold Todo off?"

Lin Mu said nothing. He was planning to rush out and hunt cursed spirits the moment things began. He had no time to waste fighting Todo.

After a moment of silence, Itadori raised his hand. "I'll do it. I should be able to keep him occupied for a while."

According to Fushiguro's description, Todo's main method of attack still relied on his overwhelming physical strength—and Yuji's body was just as formidable!

After thinking it over for a while, Maki settled on a plan. "Then that's what we'll do. We'll move together first."

"From what I know about Todo, he'll definitely come looking for us alone right from the start. When we run into him, Yuji will hold him off while everyone else keeps moving."

"Our goal is to find that Grade 2 cursed spirit and secure the win outright!"

In Jujutsu High's lounge, the teachers from both schools chatted idly. Before them stood an enormous screen.

The screen displayed footage from all parts of the testing grounds, transmitted back by Mei Mei's crows. Through this method, they could clearly observe each student's performance.

It also prevented the students from going for the kill against one another.

One wall of the lounge was covered in talismans—exactly five hundred of them!

The number of talismans represented the total number of cursed spirits deployed in the field! Compared to the original, there were no telling how many more.

At the very center of all the talismans was one that was noticeably larger than the rest. It represented the strongest cursed spirit in the field.

Whenever a cursed spirit was exorcised, the corresponding talisman on the wall would spontaneously ignite. Red flames represented Tokyo Jujutsu High—Lin Mu's side—while blue represented Kyoto Jujutsu High.

The strongest one had been announced to the students as a Grade 2 cursed spirit, but that was not the case. Its strength had already reached the peak of Grade 1!

Furthermore, due to its cunning ability, it might even be harder to deal with than some Special Grade cursed spirits!

The reason they had given the students false information was to test their reactions in a crisis and their ability to adapt on the fly.

In the upper-right corner of the screen was a ranking list for all students participating in this exchange event. Scores would be calculated based on the number of cursed spirits exorcised, determining the final rankings.

Exorcising a Grade 4 cursed spirit earned one point, a Grade 3 earned two, a Grade 2 earned four, a Grade 1 earned ten, and exorcising the target cursed spirit earned fifty.

It could be said that whoever killed the mission target cursed spirit would practically secure victory.

"So, who do you think will take first place this time?" Satoru Gojo was quite interested in the newly established rules and asked the question.

Utahime rested her chin on her hand as she considered it. "Objectively speaking, it should be Todo. But I don't think he'd be interested in this."

"I think it should be Mechamaru. His firepower is pretty fierce," Mei Mei said with interest.

Gojo smiled when he heard that. "Is that so? Then you two might both be disappointed."

The two female teachers' expressions changed. Gojo had always been accurate when it came to judging people. "Don't tell me you have someone else in mind?"

"Don't tell me it's Fushiguro?"

"His tracking ability is outstanding, but his efficiency at exorcising cursed spirits probably isn't high enough, right?"

Gojo shook his head. "I never said it was him. You'll find out soon enough who I mean."

Principal Gakuganji kept silent with a gloomy expression, his eyes fixed tightly on Yuji Itadori on the screen!
