On the dock, Genghu stared fixedly at Zhong Hao, letting out continuous whimpering howls. Its snow-white fur hung limp like a dried eggplant, and its tail dragged weakly across the ground.

Zhong Hao turned to Garp and said, "Teacher, I'll leave Genghu to you."

Garp grinned and pressed his right hand hard against the fingers of his left, producing a series of crackling sounds. "This old man will 'properly' train it. Its potential has basically reached its limit, and it'll stay this size for the rest of its life. But... heh heh! When you come back, this old man will give you a surprise."

He put particular emphasis on the words "properly train." Who knew whether he truly meant training it properly, or "abusing" it.

Zhong Hao nodded. After looking over everyone's faces, he turned and left. He had taken only one step when a fierce gust of wind rose behind him.

His Observation Haki instantly spread out. Zhong Hao leaped into the air, dodging the pounce of two huge claws. He landed atop Genghu's massive head, crouched down, and stroked its soft fur. "Behave!"

With that, he jumped into the distance. After several leaps, he landed on a boat. He turned back and waved to Garp and the others, raised the sail, and headed out to sea.

Zhong Hao sailed alone into the ocean. On the dock, Genghu roared anxiously, calling after him. Its four powerful paws kicked against the ground as it tried to give chase.

Garp grabbed its tail in one hand and burst into laughter. "That brat entrusted you to this old man. I can't let you run off!"
