Standing amid flashing lightning and rolling thunder, surrounded by towering waves, surging storms, hail, torrential rain, and a raging sea of fire, Reg could not help but curse. Before Colin could ask why, Reg said anxiously, "Teacher, hurry... There's no time to explain. I'll hold Big Mom off for now. You go make the final preparations!"

After half a second of silence, Colin gritted his teeth. Reg released a mass of black lightning and, together with Wyper aboard the Ark Maxim, opened a spatial gate... He knew very well that conventional methods of fighting no longer worked against Big Mom. Staying here would only make him a burden.

After Colin vanished from beside him, Reg muttered to himself as golden arcs of electricity surged over his body, drawing all the lightning toward him. Then he looked into the distance... She was coming—Big Mom, transformed into Queen Mama Chanter.

The instant Big Mom's soprano rang out, her soul-stirring voice merged with the enormous "living" storm, creating an organ-like opening note... Grand in volume, majestic in presence, solemn yet mournful.

The apocalyptic calamities around them moved as well... Other than the thunderclouds under Reg's absolute control, everything else had been granted souls beneath that soaring yet profound melody.
