Resting his cheek on one hand, Bred pondered for a long while without answering Anderson. Then he rose to his feet. "I'm hungry. Let's cook first! Have you eaten lunch, Father Anderson?"
"Thank you for your concern, child, but bread and water are enough for me," Anderson said.
"Being too harsh on yourself isn't good either, Father Anderson!" Bred said as he rummaged through the refrigerator.
He could cook, and he was even fairly good at it, but he was too lazy to do so. Previously, the wet nurse and maid hired by the family to care for Altair had handled the cooking. He had devoted all his time to monitoring those researching the Poneglyphs and training. Now that Altair had been sent to Mary Geoise and her wet nurse and maid had long since been dismissed, he could only fend for himself.
Mosquito Girl raised her hand high. "Bred, I want meat!"

He baked a tray of chicken wings in the oven, boiled some noodles with ready-made sauce, and in half an hour, Bred had prepared a decent lunch.

"Our mission is simply to use the Poneglyphs hidden beneath the Tree of Knowledge library as bait, continuously drawing out people who study the Poneglyphs and the Void Century. That's all! The subsequent operation to wipe them out in one sweep isn't actually
