Enel kept twisting his body, trying to break free from the sand bindings as he cursed loudly.
"You bastard! Once this god recovers, I'll split you apart even if you're made of stone!"
"Heh... then come at me, brat."
Crocodile suddenly loosened his restraints, and Enel went crashing headfirst into the ground.
"Gahahaha! You two are definitely going to be interesting aboard my ship."
Gato laughed heartlessly, as though he could already see the two of them loving and fighting each other in the future.
If Enel activated Thunder God, Crocodile definitely would not be able to beat him for the time being. But they could not possibly fight that intensely aboard the ship. With Sand Crocodile's experience, Gato could already foresee Enel's miserable future.
In battles on that scale, Enel would probably be hung up and pummeled by Sand Crocodile unless he could train his physical skills to Crocodile's level.
"Enough, Enel. Let me make this clear to you now. Forget being first mate. As long as you can beat me someday, there's nothing wrong with giving you my captain's position."
Enel sneered inwardly. If he could beat Gato, he would immediately take back his Ark Maxim, snatch that so-called scientist, and return to the moon to happily continue being a god. Who cared about being captain or first mate?
Naturally, he thought that way because he had never seen the world. Snatch Vegapunk? If anyone dared do that, the government and Marines would probably turn hostile immediately. And whether they could even seize him aside, what then if they did? Even the Four Emperors could not withstand the World Government's wrath.
The Four Emperors might all appear imposing, but to the deeply rooted World Government, they were merely minor irritations. Only the One Piece was a grave threat
