The Golden Bell's chime could carry for thousands of miles, yet it did not deafen them. Instead, it made them feel as though their souls had been purified.

"Crocodile, let's go. It's time to leave."

Neither of them knew what the other was thinking. After Gato said that, they fell silent for a while.

When they returned to the cave where the Ark Maxim was located, Gato told Enel that they would soon be leaving and told him to get ready to go with them.

"So soon? Then wait for me."

Gato and Crocodile watched in bewilderment as Enel jumped aboard the Ark Maxim, having no idea what he was planning to do.

"Hey, hey, hey! What are you doing?"

Gato was somewhat confused. Enel had activated the Ark Maxim and created a vast bank of dark clouds. They drifted out through the opening above the cave and grew more numerous by the second. He had no idea what Enel was up to.

"Weren't you supposed to leave? The Ark isn't finished yet, so I can't feel at ease leaving it here. But it doesn't matter. I'll just destroy Skypiea. Then no one will be able to trespass upon this divine vessel. Besides, destroying Skypiea has always been one of this god's wishes! Yahahaha!"

Only then did Gato remember that this seemed to be a thing. Enel absolutely hated Skypiea and had always wanted to destroy it. It seemed he had even tried to do so before.
