Arlong shouted furiously at the long-mouthed fish-man who was about to kill Nami, "Chu, stop! She can't die! If she dies, everyone here will be buried with her! Stop!"

But it was already too late. The sharp sawtoothed blade was about to fall onto Nami's head when a crescent-shaped sword slash suddenly flew in from outside. It instantly cleaved several fish-men standing in front of the fish-man named Chu in half. Yet the slash did not lose any of its power as it continued forward, smashing the fish-man who was about to strike Nami into the wall.

Arlong saw Chu embedded in the wall, a long sword wound torn across his back. His flesh was mangled, and it was unclear whether he was alive or dead. If not for the fish-men behind him helping to weaken the blow—

That sword slash Ye Feng had just sent flying would have killed him outright.

When Arlong angrily looked toward the coconut tree ahead, he discovered that no one was there anymore.

All the fish-men nearby had seen it! Four of their companions had been cut in half, and one officer had been reduced to such a state by a sudden sword slash.

They all furiously looked in the direction from which the slash had come. They found only a wall that had been carved open by the slash. Looking farther ahead, there was only a coconut tree. There was no one in sight at all.

A few fish-men refused to believe it and ran over. They looked out through the broken wall, only to find the sea ahead, without a single person in sight.

They shouted loudly toward Arlong, "Boss, there's nobody here!"

Another fish-man looked at Arlong and said, "Boss, should a few of us go after him? He can't have gone far."

As they spoke, they were about to head out and search for the culprit behind that sword slash.

Wind leaked from Arlong's mouth as he told them, "Get back here, all of you! No one is to mention this again."

Then he said to several fish-men beside him, "You lot, take Chu away and treat his injuries."

He then said to another fish-man behind him, "Go bring Nami's family here."

Finally, he said to the two major officers of the Arlong Pirates, "Hatchan, Kuroobi, you two come with me."

Kuroobi was a cartilaginous fish-man, also known as a karate fish-man. He was a twenty-seventh-dan Fish-Man Karate practitioner, and his ultimate move was Thousand Tile True Punch.

Hatchan was an octopus fish-man and a six-sword-style swordsman. He believed that having more swords made him invincible, and his ultimate move was Whirlwind Slash.

And there was Chu, the kissing gourami fish-man whom Ye Feng had just one-shot with a single slash. His mouth could fire powerful water droplets faster than bullets, though his reactions were somewhat slow. His intelligence was not very high either.

Arlong led his remaining two officers into a room. Sitting in a chair in the middle, he told the two fish-men in front of him everything about Ye Feng coming to see him today.

After the two fish-man officers heard what Arlong had said, both revealed furious expressions. Kuroobi said to Arlong, "Boss, do we really have to listen to that man?"

Hatchan also said angrily from the side, "Boss, bring her out. The four of us can take him together. Can't we beat him?"

Arlong recalled that Ye Feng possessed Conqueror's Haki. He shook his head helplessly and told the two of them, "This isn't a matter of numbers. It's a matter of strength."

At that moment, a girl slightly taller than Nami entered from outside. Her skin was somewhat dark, and she wore a headband. Beside her was a man wearing a police cap with a pinwheel stuck in it, his face marked by a vicious scar.

The first thing Nojiko said after opening the door was, "Where is my sister, Nami?"

Seeing that Nami's family had arrived, Arlong said to Nojiko, "Your sister is over there." As he spoke, he pointed toward the sofa.

When Nojiko saw her sister lying motionless on the sofa, she hurried over.

Genzo, standing beside her, saw Nami there and thought she was dead. He was about to draw the knife hidden on his body and fight Arlong to the death...
