At that moment, Monya kept loading shells and firing at the Sea Kings.
Monya's expression was awful. She felt that today was the unluckiest day of her life. First, Luo Ze, that bastard, had seen her while she was bathing early in the morning. Then he had driven her straight out of the room. And now, of all things, she had run into Sea Kings out on the ocean.
Sea Kings were the overlords of the sea. They were enormous and possessed tyrannical strength in the ocean. Usually, encountering even one was horribly unlucky, yet she had seen three at once. There was simply no way she could survive.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Monya controlled the cannons and fired wildly at the Sea Kings. The shells struck their bodies with tremendous explosions. Yet after the black smoke drifted away, the monsters remained completely unscathed.
Monya was starting to despair. This was not the first time she had encountered Sea Kings at sea. In the past, though, she had only ever run into one at most and could still escape easily enough. This time, however, she had encountered three monsters at once. Worse still, these three Sea Kings were not stupid. They had spread out and surrounded the Ghost Sword.
They clearly had no intention of letting her escape.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Monya quickly fired several more shots. But they were the same shells as before. Just like before, they hit the Sea Kings and produced loud explosions. Then the black smoke dispersed, and the Sea Kings had not suffered the slightest injury.
"It's over."
Monya was despairing. With her strength, there was no way she could escape after encountering Sea Kings. She was practically doomed to die.
What a shame. She was actually going to die together with that bastard of a man. Damn it.
Monya did not know why she thought of Luo Ze at such a critical moment, but whenever she recalled his attitude toward her, her teeth started itching with anger, and she actually forgot about her current predicament.
Roar!
A Sea King let out a deafening roar upon the ocean. It cast a cold glance at the Ghost Sword, a vicious gleam appearing in its blood-red eyes. Opening its massive fangs and releasing a heavy stench, it bit savagely toward the Ghost Sword.
"Damn it!"
Monya's pretty face turned pale. At the thought of being eaten by that thing, only to be turned into shit and excreted, she felt sick.
But the Sea King's mouth opened wider and wider, and its teeth drew closer and closer. Too weak to resist, she could only grow more desperate.
"Honestly, you damn fish, do you want to be made into dinner?"
Luo Ze's voice suddenly rang out. Though he did somewhat want to watch the viper make a fool of herself, if he did not act now, his Ghost Sword would probably be swallowed by this stinking fish.
That would not do. Luo Ze could not tolerate such a thing.
So, he acted.
As his words fell, Luo Ze instantly drew his longsword. The moment it left its sheath, a sword cry rang out, and Luo Ze's aura underwent an earth-shaking transformation.
"Moonwalk."
He called out indifferently, then stepped onto the air. His whole body rose higher and higher, flying toward the Sea King.
"That bastard, why is he here?!"
Monya froze slightly. She had no idea why Luo Ze had appeared here.
However.
When she saw Luo Ze actually flying toward the Sea King, she could not help feeling speechless.
Even if he was certain to die, there was no need to throw his life away, was there?
Could a Sea King be killed with a sword?
That was what Monya thought to herself.
But in the very next second.
Luo Ze gripped his longsword with both hands in midair and let out a thunderous roar at the Sea King.
"Blood Sword Form."
As his voice fell, Luo Ze's hands trembled slightly. He swung fiercely through the air before him, unleashing a massive blood-red slash.
The slash Luo Ze unleashed was enormous. Though there was only one, it was incredibly fast. It soon struck the giant Sea King's teeth, actually cutting off five or six of them.
At the same time, Luo Ze's gaze turned cold as he unleashed another fierce slash, striking the Sea King directly on the nose.
Hiss! Hiss!
Sea Kings that were fish had very fragile flesh without armor. Though they were enormous, Luo Ze's slash quickly tore open a wound on its body. Bright red blood flowed out continuously, and the Sea King retreated in pain.
However, the two fish-like Sea Kings beside it remained unconvinced. Seeing Luo Ze drive back one of their companions, they showed no intention of retreating and charged viciously toward the Ghost Sword.
Luo Ze's gaze turned cold. He swung several more fierce slashes, leaving several bloody, mangled wounds across the faces of the two Sea Kings.
Roar! Roar! Roar!
The two Sea Kings were enraged. They glared viciously at Luo Ze, seeming to threaten this human who dared challenge their authority.
Without another word, Luo Ze unleashed two more slashes.
Then, each of the two Sea Kings gained another scar.
When Luo Ze raised his longsword again, the three monsters fled in terror without daring to look back.
The sea soon calmed down.
Luo Ze also returned to the ship from midair, watching from afar as the Sea Kings gradually disappeared. He muttered to himself regretfully.
"What a pity. Looks like there won't be any Sea King feast today."
He casually swung his sword again.
From the battle just now, he could clearly feel that his strength had improved significantly.
It was not merely his endurance.
The increase in strength had made Luo Ze's slashes far more powerful! Seven days ago, although Luo Ze's slashes could also injure those Sea Kings, their power could never have been as terrifying as it was just now.
He began to feel that the three attributes of swordsmanship, strength, and agility were closely interconnected.
Luo Ze had spent these past seven days training his strength, but his agility had improved along with it. And as his strength increased, although his swordsmanship had not become more refined, the power of his attacks had grown far more terrifying.
Likewise, increasing his agility would make his strength stronger as well. Perhaps the strength of his body itself had not changed, but once his speed increased, the impact he unleashed would become stronger too.
As for swordsmanship, it seemed unrelated to the other two, but that was not the case.
Once Luo Ze's swordsmanship leveled up, he might comprehend some even more powerful techniques. When that happened, both his speed and destructive power would greatly improve.
Therefore, Luo Ze began to feel that it was best to keep swordsmanship, strength, and agility in balance. That way, they could complement one another and unleash even greater power.
He slowly sheathed his sword, ignored the poisonous snake beside him, and walked back.
Monya, on the other hand, seemed to have finally recovered from her earlier shock.
She stared at Luo Ze with a grave expression and muttered to herself.
"That bastard... seems to have gotten stronger again."
