Xu Lang charged up to the Tenth Floor with a knife and gun, meeting no obstacles along the way.
The Players celebrated jubilantly in the Chat Room, though few still dared to recklessly leave their rooms.
They were not sure whether all the zombies were truly dead, and the fear still lingered.
"Xu Lang, you're back!" Cao Yaxuan was immediately delighted when she saw Xu Lang enter carrying bags upon bags of things.
"Yeah." Xu Lang set down the miscellaneous items and said, "Nothing happened here, right?"
Tong Qi shook her head. "No."
Cao Yaxuan lifted her nose proudly. "If there had been a problem, we would have contacted you through the Chat Room already. I was the one who told Tong Qi not to contact you unless it was necessary, so she wouldn't distract you."
Tong Qi immediately flushed with embarrassment.
It wasn't like I'd said I wanted to look for Xu Lang.
Xu Lang had been gone for less than half an hour. Although the two women had worried about him, neither had sent a message, afraid of distracting him.
"Well done." Xu Lang praised them.
"Hehe." Cao Yaxuan could not suppress the curve of her lips. She looked as though she were claiming all the credit, practically wagging her tail in the air for who knew what.
"Lang Ge, what are all these things?" Tong Qi asked curiously as she looked at the items Xu Lang had put down.
"Trophies." Xu Lang gave a simple reply, then added, "The three minutes are almost up. We'll look at them after we collect the game rewards."
Tong Qi beamed at that.
Lang Ge really considered me one of his own. He wasn't even hiding these spoils from me.
Less than ten seconds after Xu Lang finished speaking, the Dormitory Survival Game rewards arrived.

The rewards for the fourth through tenth Players were all the same.
As for Players outside the top ten, they only received 2 free attributes, a 2x2 backpack upgrade, and 1,000 Copper Coins. There were no voice announcements for them either, just rows of numbers.
"Fuck, I really ended up below Zhang Dahai!" Wang Ao was leading a group of people through a rest period when he heard the announcement and could not help cursing.
He knew he could not surpass Xu Lang. That score of two hundred was enough to make anyone despair at a glance.
But he was only a few points behind Zhang Dahai. Even though their rewards were the same, he still felt irritated.
"Brother Ao, Zhang Dahai just got lucky as hell. Don't be angry!"
"Xu Lang was probably the same. They're both just opportunists picking up leftovers!"

Tong Qi shook her head. "No."
"What glowing spheres?" Cao Yaxuan blinked.
"They're the prompts for upgrading the dormitory." Xu Lang considered something else. If the two women made it into the top three, could they upgrade the dormitory three levels at once?
After a brief moment of thought, Xu Lang raised his hand and touched the glowing sphere labeled Dormitory first.
He could have touched it with his mind, but using his hand made it feel more real.
In an instant, the Dormitory sphere scattered and formed three layout diagrams.
After thinking it over, Xu Lang chose the middle one.
That layout had an entryway, living room, bedroom, open kitchen, and a bathroom with separate wet and dry areas.
An attached bathroom. Just thinking about it felt luxurious!
After Xu Lang made his choice, the entire room's layout began to transform, as though someone had pressed fast-forward.
A sofa, living room, chandelier, kitchen... every last appliance and furnishing appeared.

Dormitory 200 underwent a complete transformation. Aside from the clutter that still looked somewhat out of place, the entire dormitory looked brand new, resembling a public rental apartment.
Xu Lang felt as though even the air had become fresher. He took a deep breath, then immediately plunged into the shower room.
"Wait for me!" Cao Yaxuan cried anxiously and hurried after him.
How could a guy compete with girls for the right to use the washroom?
Xu Lang stripped off all his clothes before he even entered the bathroom.
He removed the showerhead and eagerly tried to use it, only to receive a prompt.

Xu Lang dried himself off, found a clean set of clothes among the miscellaneous items, put them on, and then opened the second glowing sphere.
The sphere representing the facility also exploded, splitting into four items.
They were a camera, refrigerator, air conditioner, and microwave.
Xu Lang frowned. They all looked like ordinary items. With enough luck, he might even be able to scavenge them, and perhaps the next dormitory upgrade would include them anyway.
After thinking it over, he chose the Monitor.
At least it would help with survival and had some practical value.
In an instant, the glowing sphere vanished completely, and a thirty-centimeter monitor screen appeared on the wall.
