The weather over the rainforest sky was ever-changing. One moment it was broad daylight, the next dark clouds blanketed the sky, thunder roaring and lightning flashing.
There were distinct climatic differences from one region to another. That was the rainforest's defining trait.
On one side, lightning flashed and thunder rumbled as fierce winds howled; on the other, the breeze was gentle and the sun shone brightly. That was the rainforest—rather like the sea.
Within the dark clouds, a golden flying ship slowly approached. It appeared to be moving slowly, but it had already broken the sound barrier. It took less than half an hour to travel from the rainforest's outskirts into its depths.
Once they emerged from the dark clouds, the rainforest before them was bathed in brilliant sunlight. Between heaven and earth stretched nothing but endless sunshine.
