Rowing

Aphelius surfaced as well. The next moment, he took out a small boat nearly six meters long and set it on the sea.

"Good thing I came prepared. I even brought a little boat."

Aphelius looked at Dole, who was still floundering in the water, and his expression shifted slightly. Would leaving him behind now be the right choice?

But he still did not know what was inside, and Dole might yet be useful.

He looked toward Dole, and his expression changed slightly.

He immediately said, "Dole, get up here, quickly. This place puts us at a disadvantage." As he spoke, he took out an oar and rowed the boat away.

He had tested it just now. None of the magical devices on the boat could be used. Unless they rowed it manually, it would not move at all.

The sea rose and fell gently. Propelling the boat with nothing but physical strength was rather taxing.

Seeing him take out the small boat, Dole tested his storage ring and found that it could still be used. Pure spiritual force worked, but magic could not. That was rather interesting.

Magic could not be used here. Even laws and rules could not be invoked. Yet the other man had taken out a small boat and was still willing to bring him along. Aphelius's character was somewhat trustworthy after all.

The two people who appeared to share the same aspirations but were actually harboring their own schemes swam toward each other, making for quite a touching sight.

Soon, the two met up, and Dole laboriously climbed aboard the boat.

Aphelius then tossed him an oar and said with a touch of panic, "Hurry, hurry, hurry. If that magic beast comes after us, we're finished."

Dole hurriedly nodded as well. "Go, go, go."
