In the morgue beside the underground cold storage of the police station, a spacious, empty room, under Dis's direction, the bodies of Aoduo's family of three, Fele, and Carmen had been laid out in a row in the mortuary. An autopsy report stood before each corpse.

Bichi looked expressionlessly at the five bodies. One of his projects involved researching corpses, and he often took a few back from the police station, so none of this felt novel to him. The two intermediate wizard apprentices behind him naturally felt nothing either.

Bichi waved a hand, sending his two subordinates to examine the bodies while he himself walked over to Carmen.

He picked up the autopsy report and skimmed it. Soon, his brow furrowed. He set the report down, removed his glove, and placed a finger on Carmen's head.

He closed his eyes.

Very quickly, his expression changed.

"Hallucinogenic Potion? No, it's far more potent than a Hallucinogenic Potion. What is this?"

He swiftly opened his eyes and said to Dis beside him, "Bring a hacksaw and a scalpel. I'm performing an autopsy."

Dis was immediately excited. Lord Bichi must have discovered something.

The other two intermediate apprentices came over to Bichi and began assisting him.

Before long, Bichi had dissected Carmen's body. He focused on the lungs, the nerves in the cervical vertebrae, and the brain cells.

After examining them, Bichi directed the other two to sew the body back together. His expression turned strange.

"Carmen was dosed with a powerful hallucinogen—not the kind we wizards commonly use, but an extremely potent psychoactive substance. He only inhaled a tiny amount before collapsing. The wound on his neck was fatal; the wounds below were merely a smokescreen."
