Rachel had arrived full of high spirits, but now her expression had sobered, and she no longer dared say such things.

"I've experienced the attacks of those Hairless Monsters too. They were terrifyingly powerful. If what Dole said is true, and that creature's attacks are even stronger than the Hairless Monsters', then I don't think we stand a chance."

As a woman, she cultivated Crimson Flame Heavenly Fire, whose power was immense to begin with. Yet now, it seemed there were still people whose witchcraft surpassed hers in strength—Dole, for example, and Aixi. One had mastered the art of lightning, while the other had mastered Mystic Frost.

Not to mention Princess Daphne and Augustine, the Alexander Family genius. They were all competitors. Now, she could only hope those opponents would be affected by that creature.

Dole was actually unafraid of being affected by the creature. That was truly rare, and her heart sank sharply.

"The final victor will probably emerge from among Augustine, Dole, Aixi, Princess Daphne, and us. That creature has no consciousness, only instinct. As long as it can be destroyed, that will do. Right now, we need to urge everyone forward and spread out that kind of attack power."

"Yes. Who knows how many people will die this time, but there's nothing we can do about it. We've tried so many methods, yet none of them can defend against it."

The three discussed it for a while, but in the end, they could only sigh helplessly. They would have to leave it to fate, because no one could say who would be struck and who would not.

At the deepest part of the passage, Daphne was equally conflicted. Everyone had arrived; now they only needed to rest and recuperate before attacking toward the center.
