Ruger smiled faintly.
Although he had no evidence, deep down he had already branded her a Black Wizard. Having decided that was what she was, his aversion was inevitable and natural. It was much like the special speech he was practicing: that peculiar language brought him closer to the world in a certain sense, deepening his understanding of other spells while also making him slightly more sensitive to these Black Wizards.
Of course, he was a rational kobold. He would never be influenced by the World Will.
His aversion was rational, too. Right now, for instance, he had found something related to his teacher's symptoms, something that might better help his teacher Immanuel, only to be interrupted by this presumptuous individual. Some of their plans might even cut off his chance to read here altogether.
At that thought, most of Ruger's good mood evaporated.
"Please don't misunderstand. I only want to propose a little adventure, one for the three of us visitors," the petite female Wizard said softly.
Ruger was still lying on the ground. At her words, he raised his brows slightly and put on a curious expression.
The petite female Wizard smiled faintly, but she was in no hurry to explain. Instead, she straightened her robe and slowly sat down. There happened to be a small patch of open ground beside Ruger.
Ruger raised a brow and glanced at her.
"Aren't you curious?" Sitting beside him with her knees drawn up, she extended a finger to lightly touch the petals before her and spoke in a low voice.
Still lying there, Ruger twitched his ears. The flower beside his head was lovely in every way, except that its curled leaves tended to catch on the tips of his ears.
