Ruger's eyes shifted, and through the haze, he saw the golden demon's figure. The demon was still standing at the edge of the depression, in the same spot as before. He had never moved, as though he had never left at all and the others simply could not see him.

And Ruger was the center of the heart.

To make Ruger the source of the entanglement of faith power, the demon had employed a rare method and, in a sense, had even made certain sacrifices.

Perhaps the golden demon had chosen Ruger precisely because he was weak. Faced with a powerful Wizard, the demon might not have dared reveal so much, or chosen this method at all.
