During the first two days, he had often imagined that the foul stench of Faith Power still lingered around him. That filthy substance had simply left too deep an impression. Worse, Faith Power could touch the soul and Mental Power to begin with. Being entangled in it for so long had been nothing short of a disaster.
This also showed how powerful the Golden Demon was, as well as how resilient demonic creatures were in mind and soul, including their ability to adapt to and resist chaotic substances.
Still stretching, Ruger walked into the sea breeze toward the cliff's edge.

Several Wizards from the Foreign God Oversight Council had descended from the sky. One was the Wizard he had met before, the one with a chin covered in stubble who knew Zorn. Before they landed, a spherical Metal Vessel had dropped ahead of them. While still in midair, it had released dozens of bars of light, sealing the target tainted with filthy Faith Power inside. Not even a trace of Faith Power could escape.
Among the arrivals was even a High-Rank Wizard who wore a seemingly friendly smile but never spoke a word throughout.
As before, the Bearded Wizard handled the conversation with Zorn, so everything had proceeded smoothly and amicably.
