At the mention of unranked spells, the Path Seeker's eyes lit up again.

Ruger had only been testing the waters. Just as he had expected, although this fellow had been a Wizard for many years, some things about his essential nature had never changed. Ruger found those pure qualities reassuring. They meant they could meet again, because as long as Green preserved them, he would not remain trapped as a One-Ring Wizard. He would surely keep moving forward.

Green was not an isolated case. Some people became Wizards for reasons beyond pursuing the power of the supernatural path. Green had his own peculiar interests, or perhaps they could be called wonderful dreams. He genuinely loved the long, endless work of a Path Seeker. To him, it hardly felt like work at all. It was life itself, and the journey of his search was the journey of his life.

One example was the unranked spell called Door and Bookshelf that he had always been searching for. It had also been Ruger's first introduction to unranked spells, a description he had heard from this very Path Seeker.

As a child, Green had happened to hear that Wizard Apprentices could read many interesting books, which had left a profound impression on his young mind. To him, anyone who possessed so many books was someone remarkable, and he had longed to become a Wizard Apprentice himself. After becoming one, he had found that an apprentice's life was somewhat different from what he had imagined. Yet, as though fate had arranged it, he had learned of a peculiar spell called Door and Bookshelf, and his dream had changed further. It was a marvelous spell that filled him with wonder, one that matched the dream he had cherished since childhood and was even more wondrous than
