Stargates had an external processing terminal. Back then, the New Empire had activated a dormant stargate through this external processing terminal.

The external processing terminal's control platform had been designed into the inner wall of the cylindrical stargate. The design was extremely well concealed. Especially after the stargate was activated, with the wormhole blocking it from view and a series of complicated operations required, the hidden external processing terminal platform would only then reveal itself.

A neutron-degenerate state could be understood as a complete atomic nucleus. This nucleus carried no electric charge and therefore emitted no electromagnetic force. Although the quarks making up neutrons were electrically charged, because quarks were confined, an individual quark could never appear in this universe.

The Collectors could "skate" their way to the inner wall of the cylindrical structure with almost no effort. And because the stargate possessed the mass of a red dwarf, they did not need to worry about being flung out into space.

An object with the mass of a red dwarf naturally could not be small. The stargate was enormous, and even traveling in a straight line at a constant speed took the Collectors seven or eight days.

They sprayed matter in the opposite direction to decelerate uniformly. By the time the Collectors reached their destination, their speed had dropped to nearly zero.

At that moment, directly above the Collectors was a distorted starry sky, spherical in shape and resembling an incomparably massive piece of glass art.

However, the Collectors had no artistic sensibilities. They paid little attention to the wondrous sight above their heads and began operating the plane below them to reveal the platform.
