Superluminal Experiment (Part 1)

In Ming's near orbit, a ring-shaped structure was being brought into existence. Most of it consisted of liquid metallic hydrogen, an elemental structure of [proton-electron-proton]. Since it had not yet formed a proton lattice, it remained a flowing liquid.

If the Serine scholars on Ming were shown the overall structure of this ring-shaped construct, they would immediately recognize it as a large ring particle accelerator.

The particle accelerator was then activated, and particles within it began moving at high speed in circular paths through the ring-shaped conduit.

As the particles' kinetic energy increased and they carried ever more energy, spacetime would warp, producing gravity. Fundamentally, mass and energy were one and the same. Great mass could generate universal gravitation, and a vast concentration of energy could achieve the same effect.

Once the gravity became sufficiently immense, the particle accelerator would "shrink" under the gravitational pull of the particle beam. The electrons in the liquid metallic hydrogen would be squeezed out, transforming its elemental structure into a [proton-proton-proton] lattice.

This created a stable gravity ring. Its own structure reached equilibrium, while the intense gravity of the internal particle beam maintained the solid metallic hydrogen's structure. Even if a powerful current flowed through it, it would not alter the superconductor's properties. Meanwhile, the electrons originally squeezed out of the metallic hydrogen became the powerful current now flowing within, also serving to maintain the internal electric field.

Once the gravity ring had been completed, it no longer required any external energy to maintain its internal state.

The gravity ring was the core of the superluminal technology Huo Gu and the others had developed. Without gravity ring technology, superluminal travel would be out of the question.
