Ye Bai carried the battered, scar-covered Goku back into the spaceship, and everyone hurriedly gathered around.
"What happened to Goku? How did he get hurt so badly?" Krillin anxiously pulled out a Senzu Bean and fed it to Goku.
"Little Bai, what happened? Was that Frieza really that strong? Goku's energy was already so powerful, yet he still couldn't beat him?" Piccolo stepped forward and asked as well.
"Uh, Frieza wasn't there when I arrived. I was the one who gave Goku those injuries. Hahaha." Ye Bai laughed awkwardly.
After all, he had gotten too excited during the fight and pressed a Compressed Energy Blast directly onto Goku. After eating the Senzu Bean, Goku sprang back to his feet, full of energy.
"Huh? Krillin? And everyone else? Weren't you dead? Did I die too?" Goku looked at Krillin and the others, then down at his own hands.
"Idiot, we're inside a spaceship. Little Bai showed up and saved us. Didn't he tell you?" Krillin glared at the two of them irritably.
"Hahaha, I got so excited fighting that I forgot about it." Ye Bai said, scratching his head.
"Little Bai, what was that move you used just now? It was amazing. I almost thought I was going to die." Goku turned to Ye Bai and asked.
"Oh, that? That was a Compressed Energy Blast I came up with before. Didn't I use it at the martial arts tournament?"
"You all fire ki blasts through sheer output, but my move compresses ki into an energy sphere. Its only drawback is that it's too unstable, so it can't be fired like a normal ki blast." Ye Bai explained.
"Then what happened in that fight? My strength and speed were clearly greater than yours, so why could I never hit you?" Goku asked again.
"That's a very powerful martial art. Normally, it can provide a tremendous boost, but I haven't mastered it yet, so for now I can only use it to evade."
"Basically, it lets the body instinctively evade and attack. So the instant you attacked, my body instinctively moved out of the way. I haven't fully learned the specifics yet." Ye Bai explained everything one by one.
"So that's how it is. It sounds incredible. How do you train it?" Krillin asked curiously as well.
"To train it, you need to break away from conventional combat logic.
A normal person fights like this: perception → brain processing → issuing commands → bodily movement. There's a delay.
What we need to achieve is having every part of the body 'think' independently and react on its own, bypassing the brain entirely with zero delay.
In essence, it means achieving a state of 'no mind'—emptying yourself of distracting thoughts, stripping away emotion, leaving the mind free of attachments, and allowing the body to return to its pure instincts.
And you must not rely on ki to predict attacks. Instead, every cell and nerve in your body must directly sense danger, automatically evade, and automatically counterattack." Ye Bai laid out a whole pile of theories, but no one really understood.
A month later, everyone finally returned to Earth aboard the spaceship and landed at Bulma's house. They then found a place to make their wishes. Their first wish restored the bodies of those killed by Frieza and his subordinates and moved them here. Their second wish restored Namek to its most ecologically ideal state. Their third wish changed Namek's location.
Afterward, they took out Earth's Dragon Balls again and wished for everyone who had been killed to be revived. Bulma then arranged living accommodations for the Namekians.
Ye Bai, meanwhile, dumped Goku and Vegeta on a planet called Yardrat before returning to Bun Mountain. He lay blankly on a rock beside the little stream he knew so well. This was Ye Bai's favorite thing to do: think about nothing, do nothing, completely relax, and lie there staring up at the sky.
A year later, Frieza, whose lower half had been rebuilt, stood with his father, King Cold, looking at the Earth they were about to reach.
"That is Earth, Father."
"Looks like we arrived on Earth before the Super Saiyan we came to hunt down." Frieza looked at the updated radar aboard the ship. There were no powerful energy signatures on Earth.
"Why not simply destroy such a small planet in a single strike?" King Cold said, seated in his chair with one hand supporting his cheek.
"But then I wouldn't be able to vent the resentment in my heart. Besides, I've become much stronger now. There's absolutely no one who can compare to me." Frieza gazed at the blue planet before him.
After sensing Frieza's energy, everyone on Earth hurried toward the landing site from every direction. A year earlier, Ye Bai had already taught them nearly everything he could, telling them to train on their own afterward. So they had scattered across the world to cultivate.
After everyone arrived, an aircraft landed as well, and Bulma stepped out.
"What are you doing here, Bulma?" Krillin asked Bulma as she got off the plane.
"I came to see what Frieza really looks like. I never got to see his face when I was on Namek."
"And that bastard Ye Bai has disappeared again. Every time I go looking for him, he's nowhere to be found. This time, I'm definitely dragging him back." Bulma grew angrier the more she spoke.
At that moment, the enormous spaceship streaked over their heads and landed on the ground in the distance. Countless soldiers poured out of it, followed by Frieza and his father, King Cold.
"So this is Earth. This planet isn't bad." Halfway through speaking, Frieza suddenly recalled the terror Goku had instilled in him, as if that man were standing somewhere nearby and watching him.
"For the wounds my body suffered, and the humiliation my pride endured, I'll make him repay the pain a hundredfold—no, a thousandfold." Frieza clenched his fists.
"I don't care what happens to the Earthlings, but that guy called the Super Saiyan—I'll make sure he dies without a body left intact."
"Only members of our race are worthy of possessing the greatest power in this universe," King Cold declared as well.
"If Father and I attack together, he won't be able to withstand us. With my current power, I might even be able to defeat him by myself." As Frieza spoke, his confidence returned.
"That Saiyan hasn't returned yet. Are you going to wait for him, Frieza?" King Cold asked, looking at Frieza.
"Of course, Father. But after he returns, I'll make him suffer beyond all endurance. So first, I'm going to slaughter every last Earthling." Frieza stared at the planet before him, his eyes brimming with killing intent.
"Hahahaha! Just wait, Son Goku! I crawled back up from the depths of hell just to take revenge on you!" Frieza laughed maniacally.
"Enough. Go kill every Earthling." Frieza ordered the soldiers before him.
