After a certain blue winged dragon had given up on life and been written off early, nothing went wrong along the way. By evening, Bulma took out a capsule and they successfully set up camp.
After entering the house, Ye Bai had to admit that Bulma was quite a little rich girl. The space inside was even a bit larger than the two-bedroom apartment he had rented in a first-tier city in his previous life.
"Bulma, this house of yours is really nice."
As soon as Ye Bai finished praising it, Bulma replied.
"Hahaha, of course! I came prepared this time."
Goku leaned close to the television and studied it carefully. Bulma mischievously turned it on, startling Goku, then switched channels. A couple was about to kiss on screen, and Bulma wore a lovestruck expression as she stared at the TV. Goku snatched the remote from her hand and changed the channel, only for a dinosaur head to appear on screen and scare Bulma into falling backward.
Watching the two of them act so childishly, Ye Bai found it especially amusing. It felt completely different from watching the cartoon as a child. Still, to be fair, early Bulma really was both beautiful and lecherous.
Just then, Bulma caught a whiff of Goku's stink and dragged him into the bathroom to give him a bath. Ye Bai walked over and said he would teach Goku how to bathe himself.
After leading Goku into the bathroom, Ye Bai taught him how to use the bath products. Once Goku was clean, he walked out naked, ready to get dressed and go to sleep.
Bulma sat on the bed, staring blankly as Goku came out, his tail swishing behind him.
"Hey! Goku, isn't that tail fake?"
Bulma cried out in surprise. Leaning against the bathroom door, Ye Bai answered, "If I'm not mistaken, Goku should be a human from another planet. I've heard there's a race in the universe that looks a lot like us humans, except they have an extra tail."
Bulma sat frozen on the bed. Goku turned to look at Ye Bai and said, "But, Ye Bai, how do you know so many things?"
Ye Bai rolled his eyes at Goku. He was so innocent that he hardly seemed normal. Maybe Son Gohan had died too early, so Goku lacked a lot of basic common sense, like how to tell men and women apart. Since they had the chance today, they might as well teach Goku about it all at once.
That night, Ye Bai and Bulma taught Goku a great deal of everyday knowledge, at least enough for him to understand some basic things normally.
It was not until Goku's stomach started growling again that the three of them remembered they had not eaten dinner yet.
After Bulma prepared dinner, Ye Bai and Goku saw that it consisted of some vegetables, three baguettes, and three cups of coffee. Neither of them was used to such food, so they said they wanted to go hunting.
In the end, Goku went hunting while Ye Bai stayed behind to protect Bulma. At that moment, Bulma asked, "Ye Bai, don't you usually eat this kind of food?"
"No. Goku and I need to train in martial arts regularly, so the energy from this food can't meet our needs."
As Ye Bai answered, he prepared to gather some firewood from nearby.
After watching Ye Bai return with a huge pile of firewood, Bulma asked again, "So, is Goku stronger, or are you stronger?"
"Goku is stronger. When we spar, Goku usually has a slight edge."
Ye Bai answered honestly. Bulma looked at the boy before her and asked, "So, Ye Bai, how old are you this year?"
"I'm thirteen. Goku is twelve."
"Then you're pretty amazing too. Goku told me he picked you up and brought you home around the same time not long ago. What about your parents?"
Ye Bai looked up at the starry sky. "I don't have parents. I don't know how I ended up here either. My home is in a very, very distant place. I might never be able to go back in this lifetime, and I don't want to go back anyway."
Bulma looked at the boy before her. He seemed to possess a maturity that did not belong to someone his age.
After a while, Goku returned carrying a centipede in one hand and a wolf over his shoulder. Bulma was startled and hurried back inside the house. Ye Bai and Goku hastily finished dinner before going back to sleep.
Early the next morning, Ye Bai was kicked awake by Goku's terrible sleeping posture. He did not put up with it, kicking Goku in the butt before calmly getting up to wash.
Goku sat up with a bewildered expression. Seeing Ye Bai enter the bathroom, he followed him in and started peeing beside him.
Bulma was awakened by the noise they made and slowly got up, making herself some coffee.
After washing up, Ye Bai led Goku out. Seeing Bulma still dawdling, he called out a greeting and said he was taking Goku out for morning training.
Once they opened the door, Ye Bai obediently began stretching his body. Goku, on the other hand, did not bother with that. He hugged a huge boulder and began working out. Finally, he lifted it and squeezed hard with both arms. The boulder burst apart from the middle, scattering fragments everywhere. Goku then ran off to move a second boulder, lifting it up in his arms.
"Wha... what are you doing?"
A sea turtle had been set down by Goku. Thinking Bulma had turned into a turtle, Goku hurriedly shouted, "Ye Bai, Bulma really turned into a turtle!"
Bulma happened to come out of the house and discovered that it was a sea turtle. After the three people and one turtle talked for a while, they gave the turtle some salted kelp soup. Goku then decided to take the turtle back to the sea and called Ye Bai along. Since Bulma was scared, she could only follow them.
In the end, the three of them escorted the turtle back to the sea. The turtle said it wanted to repay them and asked them to wait by the shore for a while, so the three of them played along the beach.
After some time, a sea turtle appeared on the distant surface of the water, with a figure standing on its back. Ye Bai looked closely and muttered to himself, Is that Master Roshi?
The turtle in the distance slowly drew closer, and the figure on its back gradually became clear. Beneath the sun was a dazzling bald head, attached to an old man with a stern yet unmistakably lecherous face. He wore fashionable clothes and carried a heavy turtle shell on his back.
I can't even say he looks a lot like that lecherous old man from my memories. He looks exactly the same.
Ye Bai grumbled inwardly.
"I heard you saved this sea turtle."
Master Roshi jumped down from the turtle's back as he spoke.
After the turtle confirmed the matter and they talked for a while, Goku received the Flying Nimbus, while Ye Bai received a Dragon Ball. The three of them then parted ways with Master Roshi and continued their journey to search for the Dragon Balls.
Since Goku had the Flying Nimbus, he flew through the sky, while Bulma drove the motorcycle with Ye Bai riding behind her, leaving them much more room.
The rest of the journey went smoothly enough. The only change was that a lustful pig had joined the group, followed by a desert bandit. During their journey to Frypan Mountain, Goku learned Master Roshi's Kamehameha.
Until they reached the place where the final Dragon Ball was located, Ye Bai never had to make a move. In his spare time, he merely practiced circulating his energy, reliving the memories of his childhood from a first-person perspective.
"If I remember correctly, the comedic trio should be showing up next to steal the five Dragon Balls in our hands."
