Paragus and Broly

Li Wei smiled. "Remember that feeling just now. Next, try transforming into a Super Saiyan on your own."

Son Goku nodded, his gaze gradually becoming resolute. Then he closed his eyes and carefully recalled the feeling from before, trying to replicate it!

Golden light flashed across Son Goku's body, but unfortunately, it lasted only an instant before immediately fading away.

Son Goku dropped to one knee, somewhat exhausted, and panted heavily.

Son Goku emerged from the Hyperbolic Time Chamber in his Super Saiyan form.

Li Wei looked Son Goku over. Though he was clearly in his Super Saiyan form, his aura was exceptionally calm and stable, with very little power leaking out.

"Mm, not bad." Li Wei praised him.

Son Goku's lips curled slightly as he smiled. "Li Wei, I did it!"

"Mm, I can see that." Li Wei nodded.

"Li Wei, can we go find that Saiyan named Broly now?" Son Goku asked eagerly, his eyes shining.

"I knew you'd ask that... Fine, I'll take you to him." Li Wei placed a hand on Son Goku's shoulder, then teleported away from Earth.

Vampa.

On the barren planet, yellow sand filled the skies. Swarms of massive spider-like monsters lurked beneath the sand, waiting for an opportunity to strike!

Whoosh!

Li Wei teleported there with Son Goku.

"Whoa! Th-this is where? It's so desolate!" Son Goku cried out as he looked around.

"This is Vampa, a very remote and barren planet," Li Wei explained.

Son Goku nodded in realization, then hurriedly asked, "Li Wei, where's that Saiyan named Broly?"

Li Wei smiled and pointed ahead. "Over there!"

Following the direction of Li Wei's finger, Son Goku saw Broly sitting atop a rock, gnawing raw meat off a monster's leg.

"So he's Broly? Great! Then I'm going in!" Son Goku grinned and immediately charged toward Broly.

Broly, who had been enjoying his meal, turned his head and saw a golden-haired human rushing toward him.

Broly's eyes widened slightly. This was the first time he had ever seen another human besides his father.

Whoosh!

Son Goku flashed before Broly and extended his hand with a smile. "My name is Son Goku. I'm a Saiyan from Earth. You're Broly, right? So, how about it? Want to spar with me?"

Broly looked at Son Goku's outstretched hand and instinctively clutched the leg meat in his hands tighter. He asked warily, "Are you here to steal my food?"

"Huh?"

Son Goku froze. Seeing the wariness in Broly's eyes, his mind drifted for a moment.

This scene felt a little familiar!

Why did this Broly seem so much like him before he left Mount Paozu?!

"Who are you?!"

A delighted yet questioning shout came from below the rock!

Son Goku turned his head and saw a middle-aged Saiyan with an aged face.

Paragus, Broly's father.

"Y-you... Your face... looks so much like Bardock's... B-but why... is your hair golden?" Paragus asked Son Goku, both delighted and confused.

"That's a Super Saiyan, a form Saiyans transform into." Li Wei had appeared beside Paragus at some point and explained calmly.

Paragus jumped in fright and hurriedly leaped backward to open up some distance, shouting in panic, "Broly!!"

Upon hearing his father's call, Broly's simple, honest expression immediately turned serious. He rushed before his father at incredible speed, bared his teeth at Li Wei, and took a stance ready to attack at any moment.

Seeing this.

Son Goku's eyes lit up, and he quickly flew down as well, positioning himself in front of Broly.

"Broly, you're finally getting serious! Want to have a spar?!" Son Goku asked eagerly.

Broly still did not respond, merely baring his teeth and glaring at the two of them.

With Broly protecting him, Paragus immediately found his courage. He coldly demanded, "Are you Saiyans too? How did you get to this planet? Do you have a spaceship that can leave this planet? Answer me!"

Faced with Paragus's impolite questions, Son Goku did not think much of it and answered honestly, "My name is Son Goku. I'm a Saiyan from Earth, but Li Wei isn't a Saiyan. He's an Earthling."

"Li Wei brought me here because I wanted to test myself against Broly. Li Wei has the ability to take us off this planet."

"Is... is that true?!" Paragus looked at Li Wei expectantly.

Li Wei nodded and smiled. "That's right. I can take the two of you off this planet."

"Wonderful! As long as you can take my son and me away from this godforsaken planet, I'll do anything you ask!" Paragus shouted excitedly.

Li Wei smiled faintly. "Then let's make a deal. Have Broly fight Goku. Win or lose, I can take you off this planet."

"Really?!" Paragus asked in delight.

Li Wei nodded. "I always keep my word."

Paragus was instantly overjoyed, but then he seemed to think of something and hesitated. "B-but once Broly starts fighting, he tends to go berserk. I'm worried he might kill your companion!"

"No need to worry," Li Wei said. "A Super Saiyan won't die that easily."

"You said Super Saiyan?!" Paragus's eyes widened as he stared at Son Goku in disbelief.

"Th-this is... the form of a Super Saiyan? The warrior from the legends who possesses invincible power?!" Paragus asked in astonishment.

Son Goku rubbed his nose and smiled. "According to Li Wei, this is what a Super Saiyan is. But I don't have invincible power. At the very least, I know I'm no match for Li Wei. I'm not even sure whether I can defeat Frieza."

"W-what?!"

Paragus stared at Li Wei in shock. He could not believe that the legendary invincible warrior was no match for a mere Earthling.

But Son Goku had admitted it himself—that he could not defeat Li Wei. Though Paragus was unwilling to believe it, he could only helplessly accept reality.

"A legendary Super Saiyan, huh? I'm very curious myself. Just how strong is this legendary invincible warrior?" Light flickered in Paragus's eyes.

He turned to Broly and ordered, "Broly, have a good fight with this Super Saiyan!"
