Background / History

Zhou Qing was Su Li's classmate at Third High School and had previously fought with him, leaving both boys bruised and battered. After receiving Card Master certification, Zhou Qing drew the Bronze Rank 2 domain card [Black Mist] and immediately challenged Su Li to a card-wager duel, expecting to take Su Li's newly drawn White card. 2 3

His confidence collapsed when Su Li used the frightened appearance of [Lost Little Fox] as a distraction and deployed Su Miaohan inside Zhou Qing's own Black Mist domain. Su Miaohan repeatedly ambushed him from the shadows, defeated his bats, and knocked him unconscious. Under the duel's wager, Zhou Qing lost [Black Mist] to Su Li. 3

Humiliated by the public defeat and unable to recover his former advantage, Zhou Qing became increasingly resentful of Su Li. He remained fixated on the lost domain card and later viewed Su Li's rapid rise as stolen success that should have belonged to him. 5 19 22 41

Wang Shiyu later approached Zhou Qing when both men held grievances against Su Li. Zhou Qing accepted corrupt cards and fell into darkness, becoming an Evil Card Master. He killed city guards, threatened Su Li, and eventually ambushed him in the ruins of Cool City. 21 33 40 44 45

After becoming an Evil Card Master, Zhou Qing's body is visibly distorted by fallen energy.

Personality

Zhou Qing begins as arrogant, competitive, and overly reliant on the advantage provided by [Black Mist]. He assumes Su Li is defenseless because Su Li visibly holds a White card, then underestimates the possibility that Su Li has additional cards and a plan. 3

After losing his domain card, he becomes bitter and obsessive. Rather than recognizing his own mistakes, he attributes his stagnation entirely to Su Li and convinces himself that Su Li has taken the future that rightfully belonged to him. 19 22 41

Fallen energy magnifies these negative emotions until his reasoning collapses. By his final battle, he is violent, hysterical, and willing to further corrupt himself solely to kill Su Li. 41 42 43

Card-Wager Duel

Zhou Qing challenges Su Li after seeing him leave the Card Master Building with a White card. He deploys [Black Mist] and attempts to defeat Su Li personally, but Su Miaohan uses the darkness of his own domain to ambush him. Zhou Qing loses consciousness and forfeits [Black Mist]. 2 3

Resentment and Fall

Unable to accept Su Li's growth after the duel, Zhou Qing grows increasingly hostile. Wang Shiyu contacts him after Su Li's fight with Bai Moxue, and Zhou Qing eventually accepts corrupt cards, becoming an Evil Card Master. 19 21 33 45

Skyscraper Ambush

Zhou Qing lures Su Li into abandoned dimensional-invasion ruins and deploys his fallen skyscraper domain. He reveals that he believes Su Li stole the future Zhou Qing deserved, then attacks with multiple corrupt cards and near-Silver strength. 40 41 42

Defeat and Trial

Grantis battles Zhou Qing while Su Miaohan infiltrates the shadows and severs his connection to the fallen domain. With his field destroyed, Zhou Qing is defeated and taken into custody by the City Guard. At the Card Master Court, he accuses Wang Shiyu of supplying the Corrupt Cards, but Wang denies the claim and presents Zhou Qing as an unreliable witness corrupted by fallen power. 43 44 45
