Background / History

Grantis was the eldest daughter of the Charlotte Family, an exorcist lineage. Upon coming of age, she completed an exorcism ritual and gained powers meant to resist vampires, but she secretly left home to escape its monotonous training. Baron Carlos captured her and turned her into a thrall. 27

Although transformed, Grantis retained her human will and resisted the urge to drink blood. Carlos exploited this conflict by imprisoning her and placing a bleeding captive before her, pushing her toward mental collapse. 24 25

Su Li found her in Carlos's castle, patiently called her back to awareness, and urged her to define herself by her own choices rather than by her vampirism. After Grantis regained her memories and resolve, she killed and drained Albert, recovering her strength. 25 26

Unable to safely return to either human society or vampire society, Grantis accepted Loschi's invitation to join his demon-hunting agency. Wearing a silver-bloodstone necklace altered by Loschi, she could conceal her vampire traits among humans. 26

Grantis and Loschi completed commissions together, exposing human traitors and hunting vampires. She refused to consume human blood even after killing traitors, instead preserving it for use against vampires. 27
