|---|---|---|
| Three-Path empowerment — Preservation, Destruction, Erudition | 88 | Spent 10,000 points at a 6:3:1 ratio. Most of the resulting power manifests through Svarog; Clara receives one-tenth herself, though Preservation still raises her beyond ordinary humans. |
| Erudition enhancement | 131 | Converted 4,500 points entirely into Erudition power, gaining greater comprehension of metal-synthesis formulas and the potential to reproduce Imperial Arms with adequate materials. |
Background / History
Clara was originally an orphan from Belobog's Underworld who was raised by robots. She regards Svarog—the machine that adopted her—as family, and her ability to communicate with machines enabled her to shelter wandering Underworld residents. 87
Upon entering the Empire world, she assumed Clara's identity and inherited her mechanical aptitude and personal inclinations. Unlike her previous Firefly form, Clara possessed little independent combat ability and depended heavily on Svarog for protection. 87
After arriving in the Imperial Capital, Clara learned that clearing the world required either overthrowing the Empire or reforming it. Concluding that reform was unlikely to survive without her continued presence, she chose to pursue the Empire's overthrow and eventually establish a replacement state. 89 93
Appearance
Clara appears as a small, delicate white-haired girl with crimson eyes. Her frail-looking appearance routinely causes others to underestimate her. 92 108
- Usually barefoot because shoes feel restrictive and can cause her to twist her ankles. 89 93
- Her Path-enhanced body lets her walk over sharp stones without injury; her feet remain notably clean even after traveling. 88 91
- She presents herself timidly and softly, an appearance that masks her authority over Svarog and an expanding mechanical army. 94 146
Personality
Clara is compassionate, gentle, and reluctant to use violence herself. She insists on personally confirming the fate of imprisoned victims, heals survivors of Aria's dungeon, and treats mechanical beings as members of her family. 101 102 110
Although initially hesitant in dangerous social situations, she possesses firm opinions and can take charge when needed. She interrogates traffickers, rejects the Imperial Capital's corruption, and gradually accepts the violence required to survive in the new world. 94 95 100
She is also highly pragmatic and politically distrustful. Believing neither the Empire nor the Revolutionary Army could secure lasting peace, she quietly prepares an independent Mechanical Empire while maintaining nominal cooperation with Night Raid and the Revolutionary Army. 105 115 117
As her power grows, Clara becomes more assertive and controlling. After defeating Esdeath, she spares the general only on the condition that she serve her, knowing Esdeath will comply while Clara remains stronger. 143
Abilities & Skills
Mechanical Engineering and Repair
Clara is a mechanical prodigy whose expertise is strongest when repairing or constructing machines. She can restore damaged automatons, create industrial tools, and develop automated production chains. 87 90 109 116
- Repaired the Automaton Beetle and Automaton Spider from wreckage and replacement parts. 109
- Manufactures rudimentary self-destruct robots in batches; their explosions are comparable to small missiles. 112 113
- Established processing plants and automated assembly lines to mass-produce mechanical soldiers. 107 116
- Keeps the highest authority and source-code control of her constructs with herself and Svarog, preventing allies from taking permanent command of them. 111 126
- Built the mountain-sized Creation Engine, later modifying it with offensive and defensive systems. 146 154
Command of Svarog
Svarog is Clara's guardian, family, and primary source of combat strength. He responds directly to her requests while independently analyzing threats and protecting her. 87 88
- Detects danger, scans opponents, and can remain unseen in populated areas to avoid attracting attention. 89 90
- Eliminates dangerous beasts and Imperial Capital threats with missiles, energy blasts, mechanical arms, and electromagnetic restraints. 89 91 104
- Defeated Esdeath after receiving Path-based enhancements, despite her nation-level combat strength. 140 143
- Assists Clara with analysis, resource searches, industrial production, and the administration of mechanical forces. 102 116 157
- Clara alone remains comparatively weak in direct combat without him, despite her later Path enhancements and equipment. 87 102
Path Power and Light Cones
Clara has access to Preservation, Destruction, and Erudition Path power, while also using Light Cones associated with other Paths. 88 102
- Preservation — Enhances her body and provides protective barriers capable of shielding allies from Esdeath's frost and surrounding energy disturbances. 88 140
- Abundance — Uses Abundance Light Cones and Path power to heal torture victims and restore injured allies. 101 102 140
- Erudition — Enhances her capacity for engineering, metal synthesis, and Imperial Arm replication. 131
- Her body receives only one-tenth of exchanged Path power, while Svarog receives the main benefit. 88
Imperial Arm Mastery
Clara can overcome the usual compatibility and concentration restrictions that prevent most people from wielding multiple Imperial Arms. She uses Erudition Path power to suppress an Imperial Arm's mental resistance. 125 131
- Five Views Omnipotent: Spectator — Grants insight into thoughts through expressions, farsight, x-ray vision, future sight through muscle-reading, and illusion sight. 121 125
- Water Dragon's Possession: Black Marlin — Allows her to transform into Imbibitor Lunae and wield water-based power. 131
- God's Hand — Acquired from Dr. Stylish; assists her precision work on major mechanical projects, including the Creation Engine. 139 146
- Can study captured Imperial Arms and potentially replicate them using Erudition-derived knowledge and suitable Super Dangerous Beast materials. 131
Curios and Memory Alteration
Clara possesses Curios from multiple Paths and uses them strategically rather than only for combat. 118 124
- Used a Remembrance Curio with Svarog's memory database to alter Seryu Ubiquitous's memories rather than kill her. 124
- Equipped Tatsumi, Ieyasu, and their companion with Light Cones and Curios for operations against corrupt merchants and nobles. 118
- Uses mechanical war hounds for support functions, including treating injuries. 119
Equipment / Weapons / Items
- Svarog — Her mechanical guardian, family, combat protector, and co-controller of the mechanical legion. 87 157
- Automaton Beetle — Defensive automaton capable of deploying a force-field barrier that repels Akame's blade. 109 110
- Automaton Spider — Repaired automaton unit and one of Clara's early mechanical companions. 109 110
- Self-destruct robots — Simple remotely controlled explosive constructs used for frontal attacks and mission support. 112 113
- Creation Engine Blueprint — Obtained through a draw; made construction of the Creation Engine possible. 109
- Stellaron Reactor — A planetary-energy extraction device used to solve the Creation Engine's power-supply problem. 126
- Five Views Omnipotent: Spectator — Captured Imperial Arm retained for research and personal use. 123 125
- Water Dragon's Possession: Black Marlin — Ring-shaped Imperial Arm that enables her Imbibitor Lunae transformation. 131
- God's Hand — Imperial Arm obtained from Dr. Stylish for advanced mechanical work. 139 146
Relationships
- Svarog — Adoptive family and constant guardian. He protects Clara with paternal devotion, while she consistently calls him family rather than an Imperial Arm. 87 88 107
- Tatsumi — Acquaintance met on the road to the Imperial Capital. Clara supports him after his recruitment failure; he later joins her cause after learning she saved Ieyasu and Sayo. 92 95 116 117
- Ieyasu and Sayo — Survivors rescued from Aria's estate. They become Clara's trusted assistants in gathering materials and developing her industrial base. 102 107 116
- Night Raid — Initially prospective allies, then Clara's organization after Najenda accepts her autonomy conditions. Clara hopes to regard its members as family, though she later compels the group to align with her independent regime. 108 146
- Najenda — Night Raid's leader and Clara's political partner. Najenda provides resources and accepts Clara's terms because of Svarog and Clara's mechanical technology. 108 111
- Akame — First Night Raid member to establish contact with Clara. Akame trusts Clara's account of Svarog and later teaches Clara to swim and dive. 107 119
- Sheele — Mission partner whom Clara protects and equips with a Preservation Light Cone because she wants Sheele to live safely into old age. 121 123
- Esdeath — Defeated by Svarog and spared by Clara in exchange for service. Esdeath accepts while intending to seek revenge once she becomes strong enough. 143
- Clara's clone — A human clone created as successor to the Mechanical Empire. The clone calls Clara “Mom” and receives command authority over the mechanical legion and Creation Engine. 157
Story Role / Major Arcs
Arrival in the Empire World
Clara and Svarog arrive in an unfamiliar wilderness, strengthen themselves through Path exchanges, and learn that their objective is to overthrow or reform the Empire. After identifying the world through Tatsumi, Clara decides that overthrowing the Empire is more viable than reforming it. 88 89 92 93
Aria Estate Rescue
Seeking Tatsumi's missing friends, Clara intentionally accepts Aria's invitation to her estate. When Aria's family attempts to drug and seize her, Svarog kills the household; Clara then discovers the dungeon, heals survivors, and rescues Ieyasu and Sayo. 97 99 101 102
Clara takes the family's wealth because she considers it bloodstained capital better used for constructing mechanical lifeforms than left for other corrupt nobles. 102 103
Night Raid Alliance
After Svarog's encounter with Akame, Clara negotiates with Night Raid. She joins under conditions of full autonomy, access to resources, and freedom to choose whether to participate in missions. 103 108
She repairs early automaton units, demonstrates their battlefield utility, and begins supplying Night Raid with self-destruct robots and other mechanical support. 109 110 112
Mechanical Empire Project
Distrusting the Revolutionary Army's agreement to divide territory with foreign tribes, Clara begins building separate production bases and an automated industrial system. Tatsumi, Ieyasu, and Sayo eventually join this effort. 115 116 117
Using the Stellaron Reactor, captured Imperial Arms, mineral resources, and the completed Creation Engine, Clara expands a mechanical legion while retaining ultimate source-code control over all forces supplied to the Revolutionary Army. 126 131 146
Defeat of Esdeath and Establishment of the New Regime
Svarog defeats Esdeath, after which Clara recruits her through strength rather than trust. Clara then invites Wave and Run to her faction and attempts to cultivate a separate connection with Kurome. 143 144 145
Clara reveals her plans to Night Raid: a regime independent of both the Empire and Revolutionary Army. With her mechanical legion already surrounding them, Night Raid accepts the situation, and the Creation Engine is completed shortly afterward. 146
Departure and Succession
After the mechanical forces defeat the remaining Western Kingdom and unify the land, Clara prepares to leave the world. She transfers the highest authority over the mechanical legion and Creation Engine to her clone, leaving the clone to govern the new nation. 156 157
