Background / History

The House began as Yu Wuyi’s system-provided shop after his arrival in Douluo Continent. Its initial assets included the shop itself, unlimited customizable supplies on its wine rack, and protections that prevented Yu Wuyi from being harmed within its premises 1.

For its first month, the hidden alley location left it almost entirely unknown. Its first meaningful commission came when Ning Tian sought refuge after escaping a black-market auction house; Yu Wuyi accepted the request and used Sam to eliminate her pursuers 1 2 3.

Yu Wuyi later deliberately presented the House as a powerful, enigmatic faction to Shrek Academy, seeking both protection for the organization and a network of future clients. He described its larger purpose as preparing the continent for an eventual existential crisis 11 13.

Shrek Academy conditionally agreed to follow the House’s lead if the predicted crisis emerged and the House’s claimed strength proved genuine 19. The Nine Treasure Glazed Tile Sect subsequently became a subordinate force under a revised Silky Tulip commission agreement, and its public oath helped bring the House to continental attention 26 72.

Within a year, Wuyi All-Purpose House had become known throughout the continent as an exceptionally powerful force whose executors could handle extraordinary commissions 72 73.

Rules and Commission Terms

The House follows three stated basic rules:

1. It does not accept trivial errands, the assassination of innocents, or commissions with insufficient payment.
2. It does not involve itself in conflicts between factions and only conducts its own business.
3. Final interpretation of the rules belongs to the shopkeeper. 19

Pricing

• Red commissions provide information only; in Yang Zhenwei’s case, the price was one future opportunity for him to assist the House without violating his principles. 24
• Blue commissions are the House’s primary commission type. Their price is calculated according to the task’s difficulty, the benefit gained by the client, and the wider impact of the result. 24
• The Commission System itself determines what qualifies as a commission; Yu Wuyi cannot simply accept every request as one. 23

All known members share the title Executor. Their exact number is unknown, but they are publicly regarded as top-tier powerhouses 72.

Yu Wuyi created Immortal Cloud Palace, a vast palace of clouds, as a meeting place for the leaders of Douluo Star’s major forces 86. Its interior includes:

Role in the Continental Crisis

The House’s stated long-term purpose is to unite the continent before a future disaster threatens Douluo Continent’s survival 13. This strategy relies on building trust through commissions and alliances rather than forcing factions into submission 13.

When Starry Sky Outer Gates began connecting Douluo World to other planes, the House intervened directly. Yu Wuyi and its executors investigated, contained, and destroyed the gates while confronting threats from the Blood Realm 75 76 77.

At Immortal Cloud Palace, Yu Wuyi revealed that eight higher planes, each comparable to the God Realm, threatened Douluo Continent. The House’s response was to distribute special Soul Tools that allow users to train with battle armor in a virtual world before receiving the real equipment 92.

During the Zerg invasion, the House deployed a suppression screen while Executor Firefly cleared the battlefield and entered the Zerg Plane to confront the Zerg King 98.
