Tang San possesses innate full soul power despite awakening Blue Silver Grass, a talent Spirit Hall's local records failed to report. Yun Chen specifically proposes searching such overlooked commoner geniuses, intending for the investigation to lead to Tang San. 28

He is the son of Tang Hao and Ah Yin, the Blue Silver Emperor. Tang Hao watches over Tang San from concealment while Tang San spends time with Xiao Wu in Notting City. 28 Three years later, Tang Hao is killed after confronting a Spirit Hall branch and drawing the Hall of Worship's attention. 31

While Tang San remains unaware, Yun Chen locates Ah Yin's hidden plant body, takes her Hundred-Thousand-Year Blue Silver Emperor Right Leg Bone, and confines Ah Yin in a Ruyi Treasure Pouch.
