One Move Breaks Iron Head, Wolf Fang Defeats Turtle Immortal, Arena Consecutive Battles Sign-in
The referee's whistle sounded, and the first round of the elimination matches officially began.
Duels erupted simultaneously across all twelve arenas. The sounds of fists and kicks colliding and ki blasts tearing through the air rose one after another, while the spectators' cheers swept through the entire martial arts venue, driving the atmosphere to a fever pitch.
On Arena Seven, Qi Tian stepped onto the stage first.
Across from him stood an Iron Head practitioner clad in heavy bone armor. His forehead had been tempered through years of hard training, its skin as thick as iron plating, the crown of his head gleaming darkly. With his feet planted firmly like boulders, he raised a hand before the match and knocked on his forehead with two resounding thuds, displaying the confidence born of his hardened body.
"I've trained Iron Head for fifteen years. My body is harder than steel—fighters of the same level can't break through it with fists or kicks! I advise you to surrender now!" the middle-aged martial artist said in a deep voice. His aura exploded in full, and his power level of 1,350 swept across the arena, making the surrounding air tremble faintly.
The crowd below erupted in uproar. Quite a few watching martial artists shook their heads, convinced that Qi Tian was bound to lose.
After all, Iron Head combined offense and defense. Meeting it head-on was extremely disadvantageous, especially against someone who had trained for years and whose forehead feared neither fists nor kicks.
Yamcha frowned as he stared intently at the arena. "Iron Head specializes in tempering the top of the skull. Going head-to-head with him is tricky. Should Qi Tian avoid his edge?"
Goku clenched his fists, utterly confident in Qi Tian. "Qi Tian's really strong. He'll definitely win!"
The referee raised his hand and dropped the flag. "Begin!"
The moment his words fell, the Iron Head fighter bent forward, tensing his head as he gathered strength. He stamped fiercely off the ground, sending gravel flying, and shot toward Qi Tian's chest like a speeding iron spike, intending to decide the match with a single headbutt.
A fierce gust rushed toward him, the crown of his opponent's head carrying tremendous force—enough to smash through a bluestone wall.
Qi Tian's expression did not change. Still suppressing his power level to five hundred, he neither dodged nor retreated. He raised a palm to block horizontally, pressing it precisely against the center of his opponent's forehead.
With his martial arts insight, he had long seen through Iron Head's fatal weakness—the point between the brows where blood and qi converged, the sole flaw in the entire technique.
"Break."
As the word fell, Qi Tian exerted slight force through his palm. Condensed physical force penetrated through the body, precisely passing through the skin and striking the meridians.
Thud!
What looked like an effortless palm strike made the Iron Head fighter's entire body stiffen. The blood and qi in his skull instantly fell into chaos, his strength suddenly collapsing. His head throbbed and went numb, and he could no longer maintain his charging posture.
Qi Tian turned his wrist lightly and pushed with the momentum.
Boom!
The Iron Head fighter's massive body lost its balance and rolled directly over the arena's white boundary line. He crashed heavily onto the protective mat, clutching his head in agony, completely unable to get back up.
"Arena Seven: Qi Tian wins! Time used: seven seconds!"
The referee loudly announced the result, and the entire venue instantly fell silent.
An Iron Head technique tempered for fifteen years had been effortlessly broken by Qi Tian with a single palm. His opponent had not even managed to touch the corner of his clothes!
Master Roshi straightened up on the elevated platform, his gaze behind his sunglasses turning grave to the extreme.
Without relying on ki blasts or techniques, he had won purely through physical force and by seeing through his opponent's weakness. Such martial insight already surpassed that of the vast majority of martial artists in the world.
[Ding! Victory in the first elimination match. You defeated a martial artist specializing in hardened-body techniques, triggering a rare arena sign-in.] [Sign in?] "Sign in." [Ding! Sign-in complete. Rewards issued.] [1. Permanent Power Level +550. Current Power Level: 6470.] [2. Great Ape Transformation Fragments ×7 (Total Progress: 92/100). Powerful physical strength took root within his muscles and flesh, making Qi Tian's body increasingly condensed and resilient. Ordinary martial arts ki blasts and heavy punches and kicks could no longer break through his defenses.
Meanwhile, on Arena Three, Yamcha faced Master Roshi as their match officially began.
"Kid, use all your strength. Otherwise, you won't last ten moves," Master Roshi said lazily as he stood with his cane, clearly not taking the Wolf Fang Fist seriously at all.
Yamcha's expression turned solemn. Casting aside all distractions, he unleashed his full strength. His power level of 1,120 erupted as his steps shattered the dust on the arena floor. His figure flashed, fist wind whistling around him as a violent gale swept across the stage.
Wolf Fang Fist!
The classic technique erupted at full force. Dense afterimages of fists sealed off every route Master Roshi could use to dodge, while the fist wind sliced through the air with a momentum far beyond the level of their battles in the wilderness.
After traveling alongside Qi Tian for this period of time, along with the bond-based boost from serving under him, Yamcha had long since broken past his former bottleneck. The power of his Wolf Fang Fist had increased severalfold.
Yet Master Roshi remained calm. He lightly tapped his cane against the ground, his body drifting and weaving as he precisely avoided every fist shadow. His movements flowed like clouds and water, utterly unhurried.
No matter how fierce Yamcha's fist wind became, he could never even touch the corner of Master Roshi's clothes.
"Your moves are too rushed. Your mind is unsettled, and you're full of openings."
Master Roshi sighed softly, then seized an opening and tapped two fingers against an acupoint on Yamcha's forearm.
The force was not great, but it precisely sealed off the flow of Yamcha's strength. The Wolf Fang Fist instantly fell apart, and Yamcha's entire body went numb as all his strength drained away.
Taking advantage of the opening, Master Roshi lightly drove his knee into Yamcha's waist and abdomen, then borrowed the force to slap his back.
Yamcha staggered and flew uncontrollably out of the arena. Landing steadily on his feet, he knew he had lost and calmly cupped his hands. "I lost."
"If you learn to temper your mind, there will still be room for breakthroughs on your martial path," Master Roshi said as he withdrew his hand, his eyes full of approval.
Though Yamcha had lost, he did not feel defeated. Instead, he saw the weaknesses in his techniques clearly for the first time. His heart opened up, and his martial realm faintly loosened. His breakthrough was close at hand.
Thus, Yamcha's run ended in the top sixty-four, leaving him no chance to advance into the top thirty-two.
Goku's following match was extremely simple. The strongman threw a brute-force punch, but Goku used the force to spring into the air and sent his opponent flying off the ring with a spinning kick, advancing with ease.
On Krillin's side of the arena, he cleverly used his footwork to toy with his opponent, then seized an opening to lock his legs and secure victory as well.
With more than half of the first elimination round complete, the top thirty-two roster was finalized.
Qi Tian, Goku, Krillin, and Master Roshi had all advanced. Every top fighter in the arena remained in the competition.
During the break, Yamcha walked up to Qi Tian and humbly asked, "Is there still a way for my Wolf Fang Fist to improve?"
"There is." Qi Tian spoke bluntly, breaking down the technique through his martial insight. "The Wolf Fang Fist values speed but not stability, and its power is too scattered. Unite the force of the punches into one—gather all your strength into a single blow, and its power will double."
Just a few words struck directly at the technique's greatest weakness.
Yamcha felt as though he had been enlightened, understanding instantly. He gave Qi Tian a deep bow.
In the stands, Bulma flipped through the match chart and cried out, "The top thirty-two draw for the next round—Qi Tian drew Krillin!"
The moment she said it, Krillin's body tensed. His eyes burned with fighting spirit as he looked at Qi Tian.
Qi Tian raised his eyes toward Krillin, his gaze calm and unruffled.
Fighting Krillin would be both a sparring match and a way to temper his body.
Meanwhile, Master Roshi looked at Qi Tian, already prepared to test him himself. He knew that in this Martial Arts Tournament, Qi Tian was the only one capable of fighting him.
The wind seemed to stir through the arena. The next round was about to begin, and only the last few Great Ape fragments remained before the At-Will Great Ape could be completed at one hundred percent.
