Chapter 316: A Glimmer of Hope (cont.)

Although Aya felt heavy every morning when she woke up, today she was especially exhausted, as though she had done some strenuous exercise yesterday.

Because of her body, Aya had never done any strenuous exercise, but she still understood the basic logic that strenuous exercise left one feeling tired.

"But I clearly didn't do anything yesterday..."

After thinking it over, the latter half of yesterday's memories was completely blank. The first half ended with Artoria pinning her beneath her.

After that, did Artoria do something...?

"How could that be? We're mother and daughter." Aya dismissed her groundless fantasy. "With Artoria's personality, she would never do that kind of thing."

Aya was a good mother who trusted her daughter very much.

Sitting up in bed, she discovered a silver metal tray on the bedside table. It held two slices of bread and an egg.

Beside the tray was a pale yellow sticky note, which Aya picked up.

"Don't forget to eat breakfast after you wake up.

"Artoria-chan is such a good girl," Aya thought, touched.

"Ah, Lady Aya, you're awake." Aisha entered the room.

Aya nodded as she began getting dressed. "Where did Artoria... no, Rhongomyniad go?"

"Rhong... the knight went to take on an adventurer's job. She said she'd be back before noon." Rhongomyniad's name was still too difficult for Aisha to remember, so she simply called her "the knight" instead.

"Oh? She went to work? How diligent," Aya said casually.

She took off her pajamas, opened the wardrobe, and began choosing the formal clothes she would wear today. After considering it for a long time, Aya picked out a bright yellow gauze dress.

Being able to worry and deliberate over what to wear like an ordinary girl really was such a happy thing.

"Um, Lady Aya," Aisha said.
