Madam Hooch had barely disappeared from sight when Malfoy laughed arrogantly, "Look at how stupid he looks, I'm embarrassed for his parents, what a complete idiot!"
The others from Slytherin House joined in with loud laughter.
"Shut up, Malfoy!" said Parvati Patil, a Gryffindor girl, an Indian girl who, it was said, came with her twin sister from South Asia, thousands of miles away.
Patil was immediately flushed with anger, unable to speak.
The Slytherin first years burst into another round of laughter. The Slytherins had a common trait, which was pragmatism, or to put it bluntly, snobbery and bullying the weak. Thus, Malfoy had only been there for a few days before he naturally became the leading figure among the Slytherin first years. Perhaps his magical talent wasn't the most outstanding, but his family was rich, powerful, and influential. Mention the Malfoy family, and almost everyone in the British wizarding world knew about them.
Ron glanced at Harry, and their eyes met. They both nodded, filled with indignation. They looked at Li Mu, unsure if he would join their side, but they thought that if... if Malfoy's two hulking cronies made a move, Li Mu would never allow the Slytherins to bully their friends with their numbers.
As they stepped forward, preparing to quietly "surround" Malfoy, Hermione stood in front of Harry, blocking them.
"What are you doing? You can't..." Hermione said shrilly, her face full of worry and anxiety. This caused some of the Slytherins to turn their attention to Harry and the others. The "savior" Harry's every move was already attracting attention... Their actions were exposed, and their plan to strike in secret was ruined.
Harry and Ron looked at Hermione's righteous appearance and hesitated, stopping in their tracks. But then, Malfoy's actions undoubtedly caused their anger to explode completely.
"Look!" Malfoy picked up a round ball from the lawn triumphantly. "Isn't this what that idiot's grandma gave him?"
"Put the Memory Orb down!" Harry shouted angrily, rushing forward in one stride.
But Malfoy grabbed the Memory Orb, straddled his broom, and kicked off the ground, flying up. "Hehe, I think I should hide it somewhere, let that idiot look for it properly. How about putting it in a tree?"
To be fair, although his flying posture wasn't quite right yet, his flying skills were quite excellent. He quickly rose to the top of the tree.
"Give me the Memory Orb!" Harry roared, straddling his broom.
"Oh! You can't!" Hermione screamed. "You can't... Madam Hooch will expel you!"
Her voice had no effect. Harry, with a gloomy face, "whooshed" into the sky, as fast as lightning.
On the other side, Ron also straddled his broom, but just as he floated up a little, the broom tilted to the left again, falling diagonally downwards. Ron had to jump off, muttering, "This damn broom!"
He now wished he could smash the broom into pieces—although his inability to fly had nothing to do with the broom.
"Shut up, Mudblood! Since our savior wants to come courting death, let him come." Malfoy sneered in the air. His purpose was to provoke Harry to rush forward, preferably to make Harry Potter suffer a great deal for breaking the rules. Then, he would lend a helping hand at the most critical moment for the poor savior. His father was one of the school's influential governors.
At that time, the famous Harry Potter would understand who he should choose as a friend—ever since Harry refused to be his friend in person, Malfoy had been waiting for this moment.
However, apart from the planned Harry, Malfoy also waited for someone unexpected.
Just then, another "whoosh" was heard, and a "wow" of admiration came from the direction of Hufflepuff House. It was Li Mu. He suddenly returned to his position, mounted his flying broom, and rose into the sky.
From the beginning, Li Mu had been frowning as he watched the situation develop. He wasn't worried about Harry. He knew Harry Potter's talent for flying better than anyone else present, and he also knew Professor McGonagall's favoritism towards him. Since Neville was already injured, he could completely ignore it—Li Mu had initially planned to do so. The feud between Harry and Malfoy was just childish nonsense in his eyes. However, Malfoy said that one sentence. A mere first year, he actually called Hermione a "Mudblood."
Hermione herself didn't understand the meaning of the word, but at that moment, she saw most of the students around her change their expressions, especially those from the wizarding world, who looked at her with unease or even pity. So Hermione's expression gradually turned cold. She was a smart girl and immediately understood that it wasn't a good word.
And Li Mu understood the meaning of this word. Pure-blood believers called a Muggle-born person a "Mudblood," just as some other races once called the Celestial Dynasty people "China pigs." When that word was spoken, it was no longer just childish nonsense, or even just a matter of the Malfoy family's upbringing. Just hearing this word, Li Mu felt a surge of anger in his heart.
No matter how many people liked Malfoy, or even affectionately called him "De Dian," no matter how many advantages Malfoy had, no one could change the reality that he was a racist—Li Mu felt that it was necessary to help Malfoy get rid of his family's influence as early as possible and correct his outlook on life, world, and values while he was still young.
In mid-air, Li Mu and Harry had already sandwiched Malfoy in the middle, one in front and one behind. They heard the screams of many girls below, and Ron praised loudly, "Wow! You guys are doing... so great!"
Malfoy was stunned to see the two of them catch up so quickly, and then greatly surprised. His expression was a little frightened—weren't these two, one who had never flown before and one who could only step on a sword? Why did they now look like veterans who had been flying for many years?
"There are no Goyle and Crabbe here to escort you." Harry sneered.
Malfoy also realized this. And with Li Mu around, he felt that Crabbe and Goyle wouldn't be of much use. His eyes rolled around, and he suddenly threw the Memory Orb far away with all his might. "Want it?... Go get it yourselves!"
Then Malfoy immediately fell towards the ground. Unfortunately, Li Mu didn't care about the Memory Orb at all. Harry swooped after the orb, while Li Mu accelerated and crashed into Malfoy.
With a loud "bang," Malfoy was sent tumbling in the air amidst the exclamations of the crowd, before landing awkwardly with a grimace. Fortunately, Li Mu only wanted to teach him a lesson and didn't intend to injure him severely, so Malfoy only suffered superficial wounds.
Even these minor injuries were enough to make the pampered Malfoy's eyebrows furrow in pain.
