Inside the Mars base, the Decepticon engineer stationed there—Adam—reported to Sun Cheng on what they had discovered during their earlier exploration of Mars.

The discovery immediately made Sun Cheng frown. "What Elder Script did you find? Let me see it!"

Prometheus acknowledged. Only two Decepticon engineers had arrived on Mars in the first batch: Adam and himself.

Adam was responsible for day-to-day management, while Prometheus handled the technical work.

After discovering something on Mars that appeared to be Elder Script, Prometheus had studied it in his spare time.

Two azure beams shot from his eyes, forming an extremely lifelike virtual image before them.

Two Decepticon engineering workers appeared in the image, accompanied by a squad of combat robots.

This was likely the exploration team Adam had mentioned earlier. They stood beneath the rocky wall of a reddish-brown canyon.

Several lines of strange writing could clearly be seen on the rock wall before them. They bore some resemblance to the common Cybertronian script currently used by the Autobots and Decepticons, yet they were far older and more mysterious.

"It really is Elder Script!"

Sun Cheng nodded. Having suffered before because he did not understand Elder Script, he had put considerable effort into studying it.

After his chance encounter with Jetfire, Sun Cheng had examined Jetfire's memory data. Though he could not yet call himself an expert proficient in Elder Script, he had gained a fair amount of understanding of it.

The writing discovered on the Martian rock wall by his Decepticon exploration team was indeed Elder Script.
