To the vast majority of Cybertronians, the name Primal Titan was an unfamiliar concept.

However, Sun Cheng happened not to be among that vast majority of Cybertronians!

Having absorbed the memory data of quite a few Decepticons and Autobots, including Frenzy, Soundwave, Jazz, Jetfire, and Swindle, he had never experienced it firsthand, but he had found information about the Primal Titans in the database he had specifically established for Cybertron within his core.

Primal Titans were enormous warriors who had appeared during Cybertron's ancient age, and one of the reference models for the combiners created by the Autobots and Decepticons.

They had appeared only a few times in Cybertron's ancient era. Their numbers were unknown, and only three names had been preserved: Metroplex, Metrotitan, and Garuda.

Legend had it that, like the Terrorcons, the Primal Titans were terrifying giants born in the earliest days of Cybertron.

Another account claimed that, like the Thirteen Primes, they were helpers created by the Creator to resist evil.

Even someone as knowledgeable as Jetfire had spent a great deal of time searching through Cybertron's many former libraries before finding only a handful of records concerning the Primal Titans.

Soundwave's memories also contained an episode from shortly after the outbreak of the Cybertronian Civil War, when three Primal Titans had suddenly appeared on the battlefield and attempted to mediate between the Decepticons and Autobots, though they ultimately failed.

Those three Primal Titans recorded by Soundwave were precisely the only three Primal Titans whose names had survived: Metroplex, Metrotitan, and Garuda.

Because the three Primal Titans were so immense that they were practically comparable to mountains, it was said that they had once disguised themselves as three cities during the era of the Cybertron Elder Council and entered hibernation.
