Having gotten what he wanted, Sun Cheng took Thunder and flew back to South America even faster than they had departed.

As soon as he returned to Base Two, he gave Thunder a few brief instructions before entering his laboratory.

Although Sun Cheng spent most of his time away from Base Two, as its commander, he still had quite a few laboratories and lounges reserved for him there.

The laboratory he chose was not large, only a little over two hundred square meters.

The laboratory was completely empty, with no electronic equipment in sight, and every wall was covered with a thick layer of lead plating.

This was the laboratory Sun Cheng specifically used to study AllSpark fragments. It was also the same laboratory where he had first attempted to remove the restrictions within the Requiem Blaster.

The thick lead plating and other insulating materials around the room could effectively contain powerful radiation sources within the laboratory.

The moment he entered the laboratory and shut the heavy door behind him, the impatient Sun Cheng immediately took out the black box he had just obtained from the Autobots from Spherical Space.

When he opened the black box, ten sapphire-blue gems resembling crystals instantly appeared before his eyes.

The ten gems in the box were roughly the same size, each about as large as an adult human male's head.

Yet when Sun Cheng reached out and picked one up, in his field of vision, a [Matrix of Leadership] energy gem was only about the size of half one of his fingers.

He had already inspected them during the exchange. They truly carried the familiar fluctuations of [Matrix of Leadership] energy.

They were precisely the power contained within the three portions of [Matrix of Leadership] that Optimus Prime had traded to Sun Cheng.
